When it comes to SMs favoritism towards BBH there's a whole lot to say
First of all, he's getting the most lines out of the 3 main vocals even though he is not the best and his and ksoo's vocal tones are not very different. Not to mention the Obsession era. The line distribution was horrible despite only 6 members participating in the comeback and all of them being perfectly capable of signing.
Then you have him getting more screen time than the visuals, center time in chores even though he's not part of the dance line and Kai is the center.
Out of all of them, he starts songs the most+ killer parts. And are we going to lie when it comes to his styling? He got some of the best, once again, despite not being one of the 4 official visuals.
Out of all their solo work, his was decently promoted. And he got to debut in Japan.
And let's talk cbx as a subunit in general. It didn't make sense for multiple reasons.
I mean, 2 main vocals and xiumin who's not really part of any line. Like yeah, he can sing, dance and rap, but he's not a main or lead in any of them. Why only 2 main vocals? Why not add Ksoo to the line up? He can rap and is a good dancer.
Another thing, none of the members speaks Japanese, and they promoted in Japan and had Japanese albums. Like???
And I'm going to be a little mean here, but why debut Bh with the least popular members? What was the point here. Why was cbx a thing? I have only one answer and that is to promote BBH. Like cmon, he got to be visual and center in the subunit and the most lines, despite once again, not being the best of out of them.
And then ofc your have SuperM. Why didn't SM debut them earlier so Chen can be a part of it, if it was about talent. Why didn't they debut later so Ksoo can be a part of it. Why BBH.
Why didn't SM debut SKY as a subunit since they were the most popular members? Hell, back in 2016, when cbx debuted, Chanyeol was the most followed Korean celebrity. Why not promote the most popular members who can also speak Japanese and Chinese.
SM wanted and tried to make Bh the break out star, his company was supposed to be under them. They thought he was marketable and probably wanted him to stay with them like Taeyeon or something. Idk what SM wanted from him, but they surely inflated his ego A LOT.
Just to clarify, I'm not arguing with you. There's just so much that doesn't sit right with me
