Old & Fat
Today my Wii Fit told me I was 12 years older than I really am, and it told me I was overweight. I donât trust the machine because my PANTS tell me something different. 5âČ6âł in a size 10 from Banana Republic isnât fat. Iâve got more weight than I NEED, but Iâm not fat, jerk Wii.
#CSET Study Thoughts
The word unconstitutional is fun to write neatly in proper cursive.
The Louisiana Purchase only cost the US $15 million. FIFTEEN MILLION. Inflation says thatâs still a steal at $223 million dollars now. Iâm boggled by how cheaply France let us go. I mean, it is just the Plains states ... maybe we could have done without âem. ;)
California history, phonemic and phonological awareness, and now a basic US History timeline. My #CSET study topics should be further tracked.
Families are complicated
Growing up, I never wanted my own kids.
I met a man almost four years ago who felt the same way.
We broke up.
He hooked up.
She made a baby.
We got back together. Forever. Forever ever ever.
Iâm a step-mom and I adore my kiddo like none other.
I knew he had fathered a child ten years before we met, and that he wasnât part of his life.
Iâm now a step-mom to two as she asked to come back into his life.Â
I refuse to deny a child, any child, love; itâs in my being to love the kids I come into contact with. Iâve yet to have any contact with this second daughter of mine, but sheâs mine as much as my first is.Â
Families are complicated. Lives are weird. Kids just need love and guidance.
Thanks for letting me vent.
You can count on the test questions to ask about things you should know

CSET Struggles
Iâve got to take this CSET Multiple Subject course for my teaching credential. I hate taking test-study courses, but Iâm going to go into it with the mindset that I will get SOMETHING out of it. I am going to make a friend, or find a study buddy, or learn some new test-taking strategy (are there any?), and Iâm going to pass this damned test the first time so I never have to take it again. (Though once I pass the multiple subject CSET I have to prepare for the dreaded English CSET.)
Have you taken the CSET?
The fact that we differentiate school from âthe real worldâ shows us why our school system is failing.
THIS.
OH this.

Becoming a teacher is NOT an easy path. I only have to know a little bit of EVERYTHING to succeed.

My child will likely never know the reflex when a song ends to automatically âhearâ the next song start playing in his head⊠some people reading this here probably donât even know what Iâm talking about.

Video:Â Tonight Show Hashtags: #MyCrazyFamily
Tonight, somewhere in America, a young person, letâs say a young man, will struggle to fall to sleep, wrestling alone with a secret heâs held as long as he can remember. Soon, perhaps, he will decide itâs time to let that secret out. What happens next depends on him, his family, as well as his friends and his teachers and his community. But it also depends on usâon the kind of society we engender, the kind of future we build.
