Iâm not much of a material thing lover, but every now and then I see something that makes me say - âWowâŠâ
This piano by Bosendorfer is one of those things today.
When this feeling hits me, it is almost always something showcasing remarkable (as in, worthy of remark) craftsmanship.
I am amused today by the fact that while my back is killing me, it is killing me in a different way than it has been over the last two months, so in some weird way, that is better.

My water company turned off service to our area this morning without warning.
I am fine with them needing to work on the lines, but couldnât you at least send an email?
Itâs 2026, man, I work from home.
Also, the phone tech had no idea they turned our water off.

I listened to this a week or two ago and enjoyed it, and so far it has been perfect this morning.

In august of last year, I began a process of de-clouding my âsmartâ home products. Iâm no Luddite, I enjoy being able to turn on the bathroom fan from the bed as much as the next guy, so I wanted things to continue to work in the way we had become accustomed, just with less reliance on the cloud.
My old Withings Sleep mat finally gave up the ghost. It had been getting flaky for a while, and about a month ago, it stopped connecting altogether.
Iâve replaced it with the Garmin Index. I usually steer clear of the Big Garmin Machine, but this one actually seems legit.
