The Boy and the Heron (2023) dir. Hayao Miyazaki. 君たちはどう生きるか(2023) dir. 宮崎 駿. 7.4/10
I wouldn't recommend this movie to my friends. I wouldn't rewatch this movie.
The blurring animation during the fire was new.
What kinda contraption was Mahito drinking water out of in his room? I kinda like it for no reason. These parakeets are cute. I like them, i support them.
I didn't really care for the pelicans and the cute white blob creatures. I didn't feel any of the etherealness that I usually do with Ghibli movies.
Show me what the parakeets packed with them back to our normal world. I want to know. Someone tell me why the heron is built like that?
Damn at the Heron's hummingbird kinda wing strength.
Howl’s Moving Castle (2004) dir. Hayao Miyazaki

5. I grant you refuge from hurt and suffering.
With words of sacred scripture I shield the oranges from the sting of phosphorus and the shades of cloud from the smog.
I grant you refuge in knowing that the dust will clear, and they who fell in love and died together will one day laugh.

Everybody's born with some different thing at the core of their existence. And that thing, whatever it is, becomes like a heat source that runs each person from the inside.

the KFC breakup
This is what I felt: the warm weight of his hands on me; the genuineness in his smile; the gentle heat of something opening, the way some flowers spread out in the morning at the sight of the sun.
