the Ben/Beverly/Bill love triangle has EXACTLY the same setup as Will/Mike/Eleven

Beverly thinks Bill wrote the poem that Ben wrote, and so she ends up falling for Bill under false pretenses

Mike thinks El commissioned the painting Will made for him, so he ends up being able to confess his love UNDER FALSE PRETENSES

but here’s where the two differ

Beverly ends up figuring out Ben wrote the poem and ends up with him

BUT MIKE NEVER FINDS OUT WILL MADE THE PAINTING
