She buries her face in her knees and merely shakes her head.
“Well you haven’t…but I do that too sometimes, even though there’s no reason to.” He shrugs a little, one leg propped up so he can rest his elbow on his knee while the other remains curled in front of him, the other hand keeping himself sitting up. “Like…sometimes I’ll just be layin’ here and shit…and suddenly I start wondering what would happen if some ninja suddenly catapulted himself into my living room or something. Kinda weird, really.”
“I don’t zink zat’s related, but I understand what you mean.”
She looks up at him for a moment, shifting her position to lean against him. She moves her hand to set it on top of his, a gentle sigh escaping her. Her insecurities often got the better of her, but talking with Dave was always a surefire way to calm them.
