While the novel coronavirus that causes the respiratory infection covid-19 continues to spread, the world is a stressful place right now and we really need to find a way to help each other.

The novel coronavirus has a long list of terrifying characteristics and under these circumstances it’s understandable that the growing panic over coronavirus is real, fear is a rational response. But fear is also increasing prejudice, discrimination, xenophobia, racism and violence, spurring people to engage in panic buying, hoarding supplies, stealing hand sanitizer and face masks, leaving nothing to buy for everyone else and flaunting how much they don’t care about social distancing. 

It is important to stay connected during these stressful times of social distancing.  In times of stress and illness, being deprived of social connection can create more stress and illness. 

How have you been affected by the coronavirus? Please share your experiences during the outbreak so we can listen, help and take care of one another through these tough times. 

Also, please don’t forget to be nice to each other.  We are in this together and we will overcome it together.
