THE ENTROPY is a mysterious disease that strips away a Subjects FOUNDATIONAL ELEMENTS OF HUMAN NATUREโtheir ETHOS (ethics and character), LOGOS (logic and reasoning) and PATHOS (emotions and empathy) โฆ Without ELP, Subjects infected with THE ENTROPY become violent, thoughtless husks. These zombified individuals took JAPAN by storm, reducing its livable area to a single, man-made city ... SANTOLINA.
Underneath the walled-off city is the underground research facilityโTHE OUBLIER. Here, THE NEGENTROPY PROJECT RESEARCH TEAM (NPRT) conduct their latest experiment in their mission to rid the world of THE ENTROPY. This experiment, called THE GAME, uses advanced technology to pull Subjectsโyour musesโfrom other worlds in order to pit them against a series of dangerous TRIALS that test their mental, physical and emotional fortitude. The NPRT hopes their efforts will gather enough HUMAN ESSENCE to transfer to those suffering with THE ENTROPY.
