I’ve watched it three times and cried really bad on my first watch, so safe to say, this video has affected me. So I wanted to draw something that paid tribute to it!!! It was definitely a challenge trying to get all the descriptive metaphorical writing into a visual medium, but I hope I did it a justice!!

Ok but what about top coat of the glaze? I was taught that all underglaze needs to be covered with clear glaze (or colored but transparent one if you like experimenting) or else the underglaze colors will turn out black (happened to me) and the whole piece will be matt instead of shiny.

Can you fire it it twice? First with just the underglaze and then with the clear glaze? Won't the wax seep in and make the clear glaze stick worse, even after the firing? Will the underglaze colors turn out ok

the wax burns off in the bisque fire, then clear glaze is added for the glaze fire. I’ve rarely had issues with underglazes in bisque firings. and since the wax burns off (or gets slurped up by @ralofofriverwoods lol) the clear glaze sticks just fine!

...I don't have all the rules for voting in the various territories. You can register to vote there, but usually you cannot vote in certain elections. Which is bullshit if you pay taxes. Ditto for D.C. Still bullshit too.

If you are registered to vote, I still urge you to check your status every few months. Some states are purging voter rolls or trying to end overseas military voting or something, so keep an eye on things.

Also, some states are purging voters who have not voted recently. So you might be registered now, but if you didn't vote last year, they could bounce you.

Vote this election in November. Register now if you haven't, because the cut off date to register to vote this year varies state to state, but it's soon.

i've always been dogshit at pottery on a wheel because i have weak noodle arms and can't hold my hands firmly in place to center the clay but i finally realized the root issue was that my legs are SHORT since i have the limb/torso proportions of a dachshund and i couldn't brace my elbows on my legs, so i put bricks under my feet and now i can sort of do it!! i've tried to learn twice in the past from TALL people but had a revelation when i watched a medium size guy throwing.

The moral of the story is: don't give up, maybe you just need bricks
