Snowy Skies|| Emma and Giuseppe

Emma slowly trudged her way across the snow covered grounds, with each step her little foot made a deep impression in the perfect white snow, forever blemishing its surface. Her pale cheeks were turned rosy from the cold and the book tucked under her shirt did nothing to help keep the cold from biting at her skin. Impatiently moving the black strands of stray hair out of her face, she let out a sigh and watched her breath steam out into the air, creating an almost smoke like affect.

Spotting a large tree off in the distance, she let a slow grin split across her face before taking off at a run, snow kicking up behind her. Finally reaching the giant tree, she stretched herself up and wrapped her hand around the lowest branch and using her small size to her advantage managed to swing her self up, a breathless laugh escaping from her lips. After that it was the process of climbing, painstakingly making her way up to the near top of the tree, her light weight helping her to balance on the thinner branches. Leaning her back against the trunk of the tree, Emma took a breath and took the thin book out from under her jacket, running her hand across the rough leather cover.

Her hand started heading to the waistband of her pants, while her eyes scanned across the grounds, double and triple checking to make sure the guards weren’t anywhere near. Satisfied that there was no one dangerous around, she drew the small silver sword from the waistband of her pants and carefully unsheathed it before running her finger tips across the thin silver blade. Flipping the book open, she quickly flipped through the pages, trying to find a word or even a letter that matched the inscription on the sword. Bellator habitat in vobis. Finding nothing after a few moments Emma shut the book angrily, before her eyes quickly spotted the figure on the ground. Raising her voice to try and keep the worry out, she called down softly “What do you want?”

Securing the scarf around his neck Giuseppe stepped into the snow. This wasn't how things were supposed to be; he remembered the day he met Sasha, his first day at the Academy, he remembered listening the boy talking about snow, and he remembered planning in his head the two of them in the snow, he'd watch Sasha ice skate and maybe he'd give a go at it. But none of that happened, by the time it was cold enough to snow, Sasha was too sick to play on it. Nothing was going as he had once planned.

He walked pass Blue's garden and he gave a defeated sigh, it was almost lifeless and covered in snow. No one was taking care of it, he wasn't really surprise by that, that had been his function, and since he was hiding inside, no one else had bothered to fill his place, it didn't mean to them what it meant to him. He failed her. He failed her and he failed Sasha, and to be honest, he was just waiting to see who'd be the next person he'd fail.

Giuseppe kept walking, thinking he should have brought Pavel, the lion had always been a great company to him, but he didn't want to risk with all the guards around. He wasn't really paying attention to where he was going as much as he was trying to walk away from his thoughts, until he spotted something in a tree that certainly didn't belonged there. He raised an eyebrow when he got close enough and heard a voice at him. "Nothing really, I was just wandering around." He replied with a shrug.
