strong: black coffee and baggy sweaters, the kind of strength that you find in your ordinary person. the will to get out of bed in the morning, the will to survive, to live on and thrive, even in the toughest situation. concrete means nothing to the stubborn: even rocks give away to the softest of waters. a quiet strength–– tired eyes and a tired smile, still bright, still burning. (do not consume yourself to keep others warm.) daisies; god’s most stubborn creation. beauty blooms in the darkest of places, in the most unlikely circumstances. cracked pavement makes the perfect home, for those willing to try and survive. chipped cement is enough to build a house, a home, a place to be beautiful. storm clouds run through your lungs: inhale rain, exhale storm. there is sun in your veins, but god: you speak, and they tremble. there is a way that you are something, something, something beautiful and horrible. you are strong in the most human way, and there is thunder when you step. oh, to be a beautiful disaster, oh, to be human! the deities created us, and now they long to be us–– we are, we are, we are their finest creation, their most beautiful mistake. they wish to be us, for to be human is to be raw and honest and electric.
