Mosa is my favorite Asian restaurant in town. I love the fried rice there. If you are gluten free, you can order the rice Chinese style. Also, I love the beef. Parking is usually not a problem, and there is usually not a wait. If you are calling in an order, the wait is usually 15 to 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend Mosa.

Pulled pork is excellent and all food is great overall. Sometimes the lines get a little long during meal rushes, so that is something to remember. Restaurant in midtown is not touristy, so that is something to keep in mind. Also, they do have live music at the midtown location.

This is a cute restaurant in High Point. They have gluten free and vegan options if either of those concern you. You mostly make your own salads or sandwiches, and remember that the salad portions are rather large. Overall, I would say that the food is good; I mean, I keep going back. Also, bust your own tables (when you go, it is not made clear whether or not they bust them for you, but after going there a few times, I can conclude that you are supposed to).

Swanky’s is my personal favorite taco shop in Memphis. Parking isn’t that hard, which is nice. I normally get the three hardshell tacos, and they are really good. They also have burrito bowls which seem to be a crowd pleaser. All around, the food here is really good. Do know that if you are wanting to go there in the middle of the day, it will be a walk up, pay, and make your own tacos. If you go later for dinner, it will be a sit down which will add time to your visit.

Cool restaurant with nice food, but it sometimes gets really loud. I would say that this is not a family place especially during a sports season. This is in the middle of a neighborhood comprised mainly of young adults, and the young adults are definitely present at Young Avenue Deli. The food isn’t bad here either, but it is sometimes hard to park because the area is often crowded.

Nice restaurant on the back side of Overton Square. I would recommend the Early Riser (burger with egg and bacon). You order at a desk instead of by waiter, and there is usually a sizable line for the desk during the typical dinner rush. Going before or after is usually no problem. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant, but it is usually full. I would recommend parking in the parking deck because before 6:00 it is free. After 6:00, it is a flat rate of three dollars. Keep in mind that in order to pay in the parking deck, you will need to know your license plate number.

This restaurant has great thin crust pizza. The thick crust is not as great but still good. There is usually not a lot of noise other than the music playing, and that is not too obnoxious either. Overall good restaurant. You can call in take out, and the wait is usually only 15 minutes (sometimes longer if you have a large order).

Yolo is a delicious frozen yogurt shop with a location in Overton Square. The gelato is amazing, but the store is usually crowded. Sometimes the tables are sticky, but this is a constant in frozen dessert places. Yolo also has a bakery with cakes and cupcakes as well as being a vending location for local foods. The coffee crunch gelato is my favorite.

This is a great little place in Overton Square to stock up on calories! They have all kinds of chocolates and jelly beans as well as ice cream. I would say it is primarily a candy shop, and if you are looking for ice cream go to YOLO down the street.Keep in mind that you can only put things of the same price in the same bag. If you want two different prices of candy, you will need to get two separate bags.

High Point Pizza has great food, but it is sometimes hard to get a table because the building is rather small. Also, they do have a gluten free crust, but the sauce is not. Thursday night is pasta night, so if you are looking for something other than pizza, go then. They have ravioli on Thursdays.

I love this restaurant. My favorite pizza would have to be the alternative, but they are all really great! Parking is always hard, so remember that there is a parking deck behind the restaurant for free until 6 o’clock. After 6, there is a flat rate of $3. Sometimes there is a wait, so keep that in mind. Also, the salads are pretty large.

Great restaurant owned by Memphis family. Would recommend the world famous Huey Burger and the little miner’s trio. There is live music on Sunday afternoon and nights at all Huey’s locations as well as on Wednesdays at the Germantown location. At the midtown location, parking is sometimes tight. At the midtown, downtown, and east memphis locations, there is usually a wait for a table, however it is never exceptionally long.

Amazing cupcakes and cookies. Everything I’ve tried so far is great. I would recommend the espresso and the lemon cupcakes. They have a midtown location, The Grind House, and parking isn’t ideal. However, the location by the Kroger at Sanderlin and Mendenhall has a sufficient parking lot, however, there are occasionally large lines. Muddy’s also has good cookies which I would recommend trying.

Restaurant has great soft pretzels and burgers. The fries are amazing too. Last time I went, the glasses were not completely clean, however they got us some new ones. Local definitely has a lunch rush, so keep that in mind.

This is a great burger place in Overton Square. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Large portions so keep that in mind. My favorite burger is the Kuma, which has bacon and a fried egg. Also, you can get a burger on lettuce if you are gluten/lactose free. Parking is usually not a problem. Service is fine too.
