But that the dread of something after death...
Can’t tell you how excited we are for our first indoor production!
princessscout said: It was sooooo hot, but a pretty good performance I think. I hope. Thanks for coming again!!!!
IT WAS, I felt so bad for you guys, because I was burning up and I just had a tank top and jeans on, you all had to perform, during the hottest time of an already hot day, in these thick period costumes and stuff. But it was a very good performance. And I think further bolstered my Kate-and-Petruchio-definitely-planned-the-last-scene-specifically-to-win-the-bet headcanon, which was fun xD.
I like your headcanon, and it’s pretty close to what we were going for! Our goal was to get K&P so much on the same wavelength that when the servants came for the wives, K would get suspicious and, now trusting P, would go along with him until she could figure it out or he could tell her. And of course, the money AND the chance to tell off the jerks who’d been so awful to her was all it took to get Kate on board. I did enjoy finding the moment in the final monologue, too, when she realized that none of that was as important as the fact that she’d found someone who was her equal and treated her as such, and that all the rest was pretty unimportant compared to that. That just being happy with herself and her husband/friend/partner was true happiness.
“But now I see our lances are but straws, our strength as weak, our weakness past compare, that seeming to be most what we indeed least are.”
