Eddie wasn’t a nice boy, he knew that just as well as everyone else did in town. The only company he kept was because of what he provided, drugs and recklessness. The friends he surrounded himself with were lowlifes, all of them fit the build of dimwitted country boys. He knew he was better than each one of them, but that didn’t matter when they followed his every request.
Eddie’s eyes caught on you the moment you walked into first period. Not much ever happened in Glenby and not much ever changed. Eddie had been to school with the same kids since kindergarten until you arrived. You were a new toy to play with, untainted, and unclaimed.
Eddie lied in wait, watching you from afar throughout the school day. He waited until the final school bell rang before he followed you out into the parking lot. He walked past his gang without even a passing glance, stalking past his red van before following you out onto the pavement.
The warm spring breeze caught in your hair, your heels clicking softly against the concrete. Tightly you held your books against your chest, all the while completely oblivious to the danger leering behind you. You were like a rabbit walking nearer to the foxes den.
Eddie was close now, close enough to grab you, but he didn’t want to scare you off just yet. Not when he was so close to getting what he wanted. As you began to turn the corner he decided it was now or never.
“ Hey doll. ”
Quickly you turned around, facing the mysterious voice.
“ Oh Jesus! You scared me. ”
The boy in front of you was tall, his hair and brows bleached blonde. His clothes were more put together than most teenage boys, especially for this town. He flashed a charming smile your way in a way that was disarming.
“ Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Just came to say hello. My name’s Eddie. ”
You smiled before reaching out to shake his hand.
“ Hi Eddie.. ”
“ Where’re you off to? ”
“ Just walking home. ”
“ That far, with these books? ”
Swiftly Eddie snatched the books from your arms, taking them into his own. Your legs barely kept pace with his long strides, but somehow you managed not to fall behind.
“ So.. Which house is yours pretty girl? ”
You stuck out your finger leaving Eddie’s eyes to fall on a pale blue house at the end of the block.
Eddie walked you all the way to your doorstep before handing over your textbooks.
“ You’re real sweet for doing this.. ”
A grin slipped across your lips as you looked up at Eddie.
Your small show of gratitude did despicable things to him, he knew now he had you in his palm.
“ You got a sweet smile doll-face. ”
“ You think so? ”
Eddie replied with a nod before flashing you a wolfish grin.
At this moment Eddie knew he could get away with just about anything. His handsome face, charming demeanor, and sweet words had you eating out of his palm. Slowly, deliberately Eddie leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips.
“ See you tomorrow. ”
“ Bye Eddie. ”
-
The days began to pass and Eddie began to push for more. His hands wandered onto your body as he walked beside you, his kisses lingered for longer than a moment. Now as he stood on your door step, his lips pressed against yours, he was ready to ask for more.
“ Come on baby, just let me inside for a bit, no one has to know. ”
“ My parents come home at four.. ”
“ I’ll be outta here by then. ”
Reluctantly you agreed, letting him past the threshold of your house.
Eddie closed the door behind himself before following after you. Your hand found his, leading him down the hall to your bedroom.
Eddie’s eyes wandered your room, there were still a few boxes sitting untouched in the corner. Your bed stood sturdy on its frame, your blankets tucked in nicely around the mattress.
Slowly you guided Eddie over to your bed, sitting down beside him. You gradually leaned closer to Eddie, your lips finding his. His hand crept from your bed down to the small of your back pulling you closer.
Eddie took the lead in the kiss, his mouth dominating your own. His teeth sank into your bottom lip, eliciting a soft cry. He took the chance as your mouth opened to push his tongue past your lips. Carefully Eddie’s hand creeped around from your back, sliding up your front under your top. His fingers stroked your stomach before slipping higher. He could feel the underwire of your bra under his fingers before they began to climb higher. His hand raised higher, groping your breast through your bra.
You moaned into Eddie’s mouth, your hands clenching onto your bedsheets. Eddie’s hand began to massage your breast through the thin covering of your bra, it was his attempt to draw out more sweet moans, and it was working. Slowly his hand creeped back down your torso moving for the hem of your shirt. Without a second to think or protest your shirt was on the floor. Quickly Eddie pushed you back on the bed, his lips wandering down from yours until he reached your jeans.
“ Eddie.. ”
His fingers worked deftly on the button on your jeans before popping them open. He tugged the tight denim down your thighs in one swift motion baring your thighs to the warm afternoon air. Carelessly he tossed your jeans down with your shirt before his hands moved back to your panties.
Slowly Eddie’s lips trailed back up your stomach before they found yours again. It was his way of distracting you. His plan was working so well you hadn’t even realised his jeans had come to join yours on the floor. Next to join the collection of clothes was your panties, then his boxers.
“ Eddie..? ”
“ Mmhm? ”
“ Do you have a rubber? ”
“ It’s already on. ”
“ Oh, okay.. ”
Your eyes flickered down in between your two bodies, watching as Eddie parted your folds with his cock. Slowly he edged himself in before pulling out, he was teasing you. You felt him push forward but this time he pushed deeper until he couldn’t push further.
A weak cry left your lips, your body arching into his. Eddie’s lips dropped from yours instead moving down to your neck. His hips pushed slowly against your each thrust earning a moan from you. Each sound you made was a boost to Eddie’s ego. He loved that you were loud and that he was the cause for it.
Your fingers came to tug on Eddie’s hair, it was a weak attempt at grounding yourself, but it only urged Eddie on. His left hand came to abandon its place on your hip, instead it moved further down your leg before he hoisted it upon his shoulder. His hand wrapped around your ankle keeping it in place as he drove himself as deep as he could.
Each thrust felt like it knocked the wind out of you, only small strangled squeaks were able to pass your lips. Your eyes clenched shut before you felt that familiar warmth between your legs.
Eddie’s eyes rolled back before his hips jutted forwards. A loud groan left his lips before his body stilled on top of yours.
Gently he dropped your leg from his shoulder before rolling off you. Eddie laid beside you now, his chest heaved with exhaustion, his skin sleek with sweat. Slowly his eyes flashed over to where you laid, your skin was sleek like his, your hair laid tousled around you like a halo.
After a few moments to catch his breath Eddie rose from the bed. He disposed of the rubber in your waist bin before pulling on his clothes. He looked back at you on the bed as you still laid in a haze. Carefully he leaned down pressing a kiss to your puffy lips.
“ I gotta get going. I’ll see you tomorrow. ”
You only mustered up a small hum in response.
Quietly Eddie slipped from your house. He walked down the street with a smug grin across his face knowing you were his. No one would dare take a girl from Eddie Dutra, so there wasn’t a worry in his mind.
Your knees pressed into the rough carpet that covered the office floor. Files laid surrounding you on the floor. Edward had given you the task of sorting through his filing cabinet, instructing you to order it in alphabetical order by last name. You didn’t have very many files left, only the letters P - Z remained.
As you moved to open the second to last drawer it refused to budge. You pulled again, still no movement. You sat back on your heels with a soft huff before glancing over your shoulder. Your eyes met Edward’s for a split second before he looked away, he had been caught staring.
“ Mr. Grey? ”
Slowly Edward’s eyes raised from the document in front of him before meeting your gaze from across the room.
“ I can’t get this drawer open. ”
He placed the papers he was working on down onto his desk with a soft thud before rising from his seat. With a few strides he was across the room, standing just behind you, his legs pressing against your back. Slowly he leaned down, his body hovering over yours as his hands moved to the sticky drawer. His fingers worked deftly at the catch before popping it open. When he rose he didn’t step away immediately. Instead he stood over you, his tall frame looming over where you sat.
“ Thank you. ”
“ You’re welcome. ”
Finally after another moment he stepped away taking a seat back at his desk. He tried to focus back on the file in front of him, but it was futile. His mind was elsewhere, caught up on you sitting just a few feet away.
After a few minutes Edward stood again.
“ I have a meeting, do not leave this office. ”
“ Yes, Mr. Grey. ”
With that Edward left the office, closing the door behind him.
The office fell silent without Edward, but still you continued on with your work. It didn’t take much longer before you finished up organising the files in front of you. Carefully you stood from the floor gently flattening out your skirt and blouse. Your eyes wandered the empty space, your gaze falling on Edward’s perfectly arranged desk. Slowly your eyes roamed the space before falling on his large orchid display.
Anyone could tell just from looking at it that Edward held it near and dear. The blooms were flourishing, the stems were painted a bright green standing tall up their wooden supports. They were beautiful. Your fingers danced across the delicate petals feeling their soft and smooth texture under your skin.
Your eyes wandered across the small garden, your attention pulled to each one of the bright flowers. Caught on the display you hadn’t even realised the eyes on you. Edward’s head just barely poked past the frame of the door, but there he stood, his eyes on you.
His breath hitched as he watched your gentle touches against the petals. No one had ever admired his orchids in such a way, instead they were only given passing glances. Carefully Edward stepped forward, coming into view fully.
“ You like them? ”
“ They’re my favourite. ”
Edwards' eyes narrowed slightly at your simple answer. Most girls your age would say a handbag or jewelry was their favourite. For you however it was his orchids, he found it endearing that his new secretary had a soft spot for something so simple and fragile.
“ They’re my favourite as well. ”
“ How long have you had them? ”
“ Years. ”
Slowly Edward approached you, stopping just beside you, his gaze following yours. Carefully his fingers came to graze against one of the petals.
“ Which is your favourite? ”
“ The white ones, with the pink in the center. ”
“ Cybidiums. I much prefer the Phalaenoposis. ”
“ The purple ones? ”
Edward’s lips crept into a small grin before he quickly pushed it aside.
“ The purple ones. ”
Edward enjoyed your simplicity, it brought forth a gentle side of himself he long thought he buried. Slowly Edward’s fingers reached out, plucking a bloom from its stem. Carefully he pushed aside your hair tucking the flower just behind your ear.
“ A gift. ”
Edward watched as a grin slipped across your lips. Before he could register what was happening your arms were around him pulling him into a tight embrace. For a moment he froze, his hands hovering awkwardly above your back. Before he could return the embrace you had pulled away.
“ Continue with your work, I’ll be at my desk. ”
Quickly you left his office, going back to your own desk.
-
You were dismissed around seven that evening. Edward left you to walk home just as the sun was setting. He took notice of the bloom still tucked behind your ear when you left. He hated the way it affected him, he hated the way you affected him.
-
The next morning you arrived at the office at six o’clock just as you had every other morning. Unlike the other mornings there was a tall gift bag sitting atop your desk. Carefully you made your approach reaching for the tag on the handle, it read, ‘ Enjoy, E. Grey ’.
Gently you pulled open the bag. Inside sat a white orchid dotted with pink in the center just as you had described.
one thing i find strange about TERFism and trans-criticism is how much of it is just attractiveness politics. it seems to be the leading talking point. sure, make your points on sexual dimorphism or biological sex differences (which any normal trans woman is fully aware of already, mind you. the average transsexual is not claiming she’s experiencing period cramps lol) but so much anti-trans discourse seems to just be “well you’re ugly so you’re not a woman and i feel unsafe.” which seems…. so counter-productive to your movement. trans women, like any group of people, are nowhere near exempt from criticism, but what is the point of putting so much emphasis on such an empty and invalid viewpoint? so much of feminism seems to hark on how men only respect women they find attractive, yet the majority of your breath is spent on here pointing out physical characteristics that you seemingly think invalidate someone’s identity. how does having broad shoulders, a wide jaw, and a five o’clock shadow somehow equate to being a predatory rapist? it’s a mindset i’ve never understood. obviously it’s prevalent outside trans discourse, people just generally seem to equate ugliness with evilness, but you would think a group of individuals who posture themselves steeped and rooted in theory and academics wouldn’t weaponize such a vapid and vague talking point. (not to say only terfs do it, your average Internet Man absolutely loves to dunk on the fuckability of any given trans woman at any given time, but….. fork found in kitchen.) idk, i’ve just always found it odd. like i’m sorry but i just don’t buy into the idea that you’re supposed to be reasonably terrified of someone in a public bathroom because you think they’re ugly. i think you might just be an asshole.
Each cut, each scar, each burn, a different mood or time. I told him what the first one was, told him where the second one came from. I remembered them all.
And for the first time in my life, I felt beautiful.
