When Colin came in for a blanket for the couch I would’ve liked for them to have Penelope ask him something like “Colin, please stay. You don’t have to touch me or even look at me but please, don’t sleep out there again. Just stay in here with me” and he obliges because, just like with their first kiss, he can’t resist when she asks him like that. Then we have a ‘there was only one bed’ style scene where they’re both laying in the bed trying to resist each other but the tension is crazy. They both turn to their sides facing away from each other, but the next morning they wake up in each other’s arms snuggling. They stay there just for a moment gazing into each other’s eyes and then separate because the angst is still between them. He goes to his writing desk and she goes to dress for tea. They’re still separated by her secret, but, although it’s unspoken, they’re a step closer to each other than they were the night before
