"Thank God"

The term “thank god” is overused to the point where it isn't even connected to thanking your deity for making something happen within your life. I personally don’t even have any religious beliefs; yet it is so common in standard speech that I even find myself accidentally saying “thank god.” There isn't any value to it in modern time. Which brings me to my next point of the request of divine intervention for meaningless things.

It is a common thing for people to pray for little things like “getting a promotion in work.” Which seems futile, and sometimes to no avail. If there is a god of sorts, he/she/they wouldn't care whether or not “the cute girl that sits across from you in science class notices you.” There would be more concern centered towards the larger things, like people with terminal sickness/injuries. But to counter the previous statement: there are constantly deaths for the undeserving.

to say that everything happens for a reason is to dooming yourself to a life of expecting everything to turn out right without putting in any effort. if everything happened for a reason: then god would be purposely directing a really messed up show to watch for his own amusement. Sometimes good things happen to good people, but sometimes the good guys get the butt end of life. It is all very random and very mind blowing.

If there is a supreme creator, there is a good chance that he/she/they created the earth then stood and watched as it slowly grew and evolved. And if you believe in souls then its probably the case that the souls were just injected into the earth at their appropriate times.

If there is anything to thank god for, it would be purely for giving you existence in this beautiful world…

It is truly unfortunate that some people life their “short” lives never experiencing something worthy of being thankful for.

Relativity of Time

For us a minute ls composed of 60 seconds, 60 minutes makes an hour, 24 hours in a day, 365.25 days in a year, and so on. But what if you were never taught any of that? What then? You could say that a day is one rise and fall of the sun; but then what about someone that is blind and can not see the sun rise and fall in the sky? They might see passing of time at a completely different speed. A fly's life span is around a few days. Everything happens so fast that they see the separate frames of a video rather than a moving image that we are used to seeing. While a fly might be going on a year long vacation on the coffee table, we are just spending 50 milliseconds slapping our flyswatter down on it. Time to us is just some sort of measurement we put on the passing of events in some sort of order to bring order. I could just clap my hands twice and say that the time between the two claps was a orkneh. And now this new orkneh is another increment to measure time. If you were to fall asleep in an isolated area but then wake up and think you were only asleep for a few minutes, how would you know how long you were actually sleeping? It could of been years and you wouldn't even know it. If there was a clock on the wall you could see what time it is and remember the time you fell asleep. But that clock is not definite. It could count 70 seconds before going to the next minute. That could mean that on that specific clock every minute is too long by 10 seconds... Or that could mean that every other clock on the planet's minutes are too short by 10 seconds.

BS: be happy with what you'v got

It is in human biology to strive for more. You should be grateful that you have food and a house; but that doesn't mean that you cant be sad because you don't have something. If you just sat there and was happy with what you currently had, you would never move out of your parents house, never get married, and never have children. Just because you don't need it for your own survival. You have keep wanting and not accepting your current situation for "good enough"

I was given this by my neighbor this morning. I opened it up to find that it was all about religion. there's the first problem, you can't get everybody in the world to share the same religion. It's just impossible.

Well anyways, this pamphlet gave me the Idea to discuss the possibility of a singular world power.

"Why do we need one?" The people at the public event would probably say something along the lines of "Then there would be world peace, because there isn't any other countries to go into war against." It would be nice if it worked that way; but there's constantly disputes between two parts in a larger whole. Just look at what recently happened in Ukraine, there was a small war within it's self and eventually half of the Ukraine broke off and joined Russia.

"Is it possible?" The speaker would most likely answer that with something similar to "yes, but it relies on all of you to spread the word of god." And again, it would be nice if it worked that easily. To make government officials even consider the idea of fusing with another country's government, the people would have to start a massive uprising in every country. Then if you somehow get all the leaders to get together and discuss a world government, then there is a chance that they could agree on something. But to do that, half of the worlds population will die in the uprising and rioting stage.

"Who is qualified to rule?"  In my personal opinion, there should never be any sort of supreme ruler. In a monarchy the king/queen would not be able to manage and control it all. In a democracy with a "president of the world", I can't even fully explain the total chaos that world would go into. The U.S. is 238 years old and there are plenty of problems uprising. It's population is about 300 million, the population of the world is about 7 billion. Having one person manage all 7 billion people would be like giving a person chopsticks telling them to defend himself against a swarm of bees without hurting them.

I do not want

To get something, you have to want it. To want something is just a connection between your instinctual needs and life experiences giving your mind a feeling of requirement for that something; whether it's really needed or not. When you acquire something without wanting it; it is just another event to be logged away in your memory and will now slightly change your opinion on what you do and don't want.

Morales

Morales are made up by people, and enforced by the same people. What defines you'r personal morals is taught to you at a young age and you just accept it. To question the norm causes you to be looked down upon.
