An Au idea im tossing around! They find the blood moon but no one alive on it. Simon’s ghost starts haunting Grace. Grace thinks he is going crazy when he starts seeing him. And dear god is he horrified. But then as Grace uncovers more about what the blood is and how this whole “ghost” thing works, Simon becones more and more corporeal. i imagine simon being bad at verbalizing his desires (for fear of rejection), so he never directly asks for affection. he sits on the couch across from grace and slowly opens his posture more and more until he's literally holding his arms out for grace to snuggle into. he puts his face right up to grace's and just stares at him until grace gives him a kiss. he sits there looking cold and despondent until grace offers to share his blanket.

(grace both finds this adorable and recognizes that it's something they need to work on. he'll teasingly ask 'what do you want?' until simon at least mutters out 'kiss please'.)

Yk the scene where simon realizes that he’s actually going to die a painful horrible death in that sub. Him grabbing onto his mother’s sheath and sobbing, seeking comfort even though it won’t help anything, nor will it save him

Yk when Simon finally realizes He’s going to die and nobody will remember him, nopony knew his name. When it all hit him like a truck and he just started crying because he knew he was gonna die. He fought his whole life to live and it was all for nothing because he was scapegoated by the people who he thought loved him. How he lost literally everyone close to him, and nobody will remember him after he retrieves the black box.

Also how there’s no way the COI would credit him for saving everyone else from going down there.

I know he detached himself from most of eden’s beliefs, but do ya’ll think there was any moment where he thought he was being punished by god for all he’s done?
