from the website: Adam Lewis is a Kwakwaka’wakw artist from Cape Mudge, BC. His form line work is a deep passion for him. It connects him to his ancestors and community, the Laich-Kwil-Tach people.

While doodling cartoons and graffiti growing up, Adam only looked at art as an escape from the pressures of life. Bust as he got older, working in heavy machinery, the idea of being a full-time artist encompassed his mind.

He made the decision in the summer of 2022 to fully invest in his passion. He has made several murals around Campbell River, including on garage doors around town, the mural at Nunns Creek Park, and a collaboration with Jubilee Heights to create a tree during last year’s festival of trees at the Campbell River Museum.

We are lucky to have Adam Lewis design and create artwork exclusively for the Museum at Campbell River. We have his Eagle design on hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs and art cards.

The Eagle – Symbolizing respect, honor, strength, courage and wisdom.
