Whether it be multiple bugs or just one who knows his way, that hardly matters. What you should be thinking about is if you're buyin', if you're sellin' or looking to tune up your weapons. Even information can be bought.
So don't wait, put those rosaries and geo to good use. They're not worth anything if you're dead.

Haha, Pharloomblr rp blog #4 from @waterlilykitty . Who better than the re4 Merchant. Now I can do some fun shopkeep stuff. I'm probably going to be reusing a lot of lines in trying to remain faithful.
By the way, both Hollow Knight and Resident Evil roleplayers are free to interact because I think it would be funny.
General RP rules, please be respectful. My style is having dialogue in quotations and writing what they do.
Tagging system:
[what're you buyin'?] Buying from the Merchant.
[what're you sellin'?] Selling anything to the Merchant.
[lookin' for a tune up?] Slightly upgrading or fixing weapons or armor.
[come back anytime.] The interaction has been completed.
Stuff to know:
You can buy weapons. Either ask for an existing Hollow Knight weapon, red tool, whatnot and I'll try to find a fair price by checking the wiki (and also mods) beforehand.
You can sell literally anything. Almost no limits. Again checking wikis and mods to make sure prices are fair but vaguing is completely fine. There's nothing strict here because this is probably the blog that can break continuity.
If you need a reason to upgrade a weapon, here it is. It's not going to be as good as the experts like the canon blogs because I wouldn't want to steal their spotlight but maybe a little boost if your character has enough money. Again, vaguing is fine but there can be an actual price if needed.
It could be fun to work in tandem with wishing walls but it might not be easy. Suggestions welcome.
Minigames! I gotta adapt the shooting gallery. I think it could be a dice game like the combat system. I'm thinking we both roll dice that have the same max in different amounts and if you match or exceed, win prizes. Wouldn't know what prizes but maybe art. Suggestions welcome.
There's a little corner here with shelves and supplies here. The cloaked bug behind the table waves in greeting.
" 'Ello, stranger. Would you like to take a look at what I've got to sell? I could also buy something from you instead. If you've got a weapon, it would be our pleasure to give it the care it deserves."
The blue purple flames in the braziers gently crackle.
@merchant-around-the-corner
Adonis, who was just passing by, turns to the merchant bug. He walks over curiously, his gait a little shaky.
âI donât have anything on me thatâs worth selling, but Iâd be happy to see what youâve got to offer,â He says, âWhat are your wares like?â
He claps his hands together and opens up his cloak revealing a multitude of weapons.
"Sharp blades, tools of combat, additional armor, pouches to expand your carrying capacity, even a special healing elixir. It's your choice, mate." He presents.
Adonis seems to dwell on this suggestion for a while, but ultimately he shakes his head.
âI suppose I could get more weapons, just in case. All I have is a wood carving knife and that isnât much. Iâm not much of a fighter but I do know how to use a couple of themâŚâ
His gaze seems to land on a set of threefold pins.
âThirty rosariesâŚâ Adonis brings out a pouch and counts the ruby-colored beads inside.
âI should be able to afford them, yeah. I think Iâm fine without the shell shards. I can gather them myself.â He hands the rosaries to the merchant.

The Merchant looks at the braziers and back at the Stilkin.
"Interested in what I'm burnin', are you? It's a good deterrent for those mindless ones still out there. We always keep some around."
The cloaked bug rummages around in his pack and produces a small pouch.
"I'll part with this for 7 rosaries. If you're careful, it should last about three days, give or take. It won't do you any good if you haven't got anything to make sparks or a lantern to hold it now would it."
There's a little glint in his eyes at the last statement.
"Over here, stranger! Got somethin' that might interest ya." That cloak is familiar too. But the wiggling antennae under the hood discourage the thought that this is the same guy.
Right?
@merchant-around-the-corner
He turns slowly.
Oh my god.
He walks over, holding his hand over his holster warily. It might be a trap.
Uh.
Yeah. Whatâre you sellinâ?
âSurely this isnât the same Merchant,â he thinks. Something tells him that heâs wrong.
"Depends on what you're looking for, stranger." His cloak opens up to reveal weapons that seem unrecognizable. Swords? Maybe those other ones could count as guns.
It's possible there's more on the shelves behind him.
"Sharpening your blade will be no problem. But before we get ahead of ourselves, you know what you're gonna use to compensate for my services? I'm sure a fella like yourself is looking for ammunition that is a little... out of place in these parts and well, wouldn't want to be doing all this for free." Of course, he's still looking to make a quick buck.
"Good eye, mate. Rosaries are the trend for trades 'round here. Unfortunately for you, you've got a choice between a sharpened weapon or some ammo. Not enough for both." He tells him.
He handles the hatchet and returns the sharpness to the blade. Fast, meticulous, reliable, familiar.
"And here you are. There's a lot of interestin' folks out here. Outside of the wild ones, you shouldn't find that much trouble. Hopefully you don't mind the strange looks. Not many look like you, stranger." The Merchant advises.

*Pushes a singular intact perfectly shaped stone onto the table*
How much would you pay for this beauty?
"That's a nice little bauble you've got there, stranger. We'll take this off your hands for 30 rosaries." He says, reaching into one of his many pockets for the promised amount.
