Alaina had been a kind person, and one of the things she had asked Rachmiel to keep when she took her over, was that of compassion. It hadn't been hard for her to absorb the human qualities, simply because her existence had required her to know how to react to humans. It, to this point, hadn't served to cause her trouble, and she would retain the actions until it became a burden.
She slowly dropped her hand, when it hit the firm mattress below, she stared at it. Losing her thoughts for several seconds, wondering how it had become that her brother, once a shining soldier of an angel was reduced to sleeping on something that was soon to be laced with complete filth, only due to the lack of access of anything better. She tore her gaze away and looked upon him. "It was hard, I really had to focus and some days it became too much. I had to restore my energy. That's a decent sign, however, it means whoever is in charge of hiding is excelling." If disappointment was a color visible to humans, the deep purple signalling sorrow would have shone through her vessel's skin as the Angel underneath replied "No, most of them don't care. It's becoming more of a survival of the fittest, as I believe they say, and only those who refuse to believe there was another way around this are keeping up the battles. Our siblings who are simply trying to thrive are being discarded to prove a point." She had heard of Gabriel's return and the lesson he tried to teach The Winchesters, and the moment they changed his view, he was doomed.
She hated to think of her siblings being pitted against one another, but it was how the world had shifted, so when he made his observation, she vowed to herself that helping him, and The Winchesters by default, would be the sole purpose for her now. Somewhere deep down in the mess of pills and pain, Castiel was still the brother who loved humans, and she knew from stories that Sam and Dean, while hopelessly devoted to each other, also lived their lives to save as many human souls as their time on Earth would allow. She placed a dutiful smile upon the red lips she borrowed "I'm at your service, it is, after all, what I exist to do." It could have been taken either way, to show mercy on humans or to follow the orders of angels superior to her. Even if he was becoming something else, where it mattered, he was still the leader of her garrison. The smirk that showed on his vessel's face may have put her in a state of unease, but losing respect, let alone admitting it, for him would be the last thing she did. No matter what.
"Jack... The Doctor." She repeated the names, finding nothing on the two names in her memory. She knew Sam and Dean would have to be met quickly, but she would much prefer not doing that in the presence of her brother. He would likely disapprove of her regards to them. No, those meetings would have to be done alone, she was certain she could slip away at some point. "There is no need to wake the humans, they need to be rested I am sure. Why doesn't this Jack person sleep? Perhaps we shall start with him. --Unless of course you need to rest." She suddenly seemed to notice that he may not be up for too much excitement, given his current state and her unexpected arrival.
