A new masquerade
mercilesscaptain:
“True! But yes, met a werewolf once. It wasn’t fun. Got pretty close to being killed. Close but I’m still here.”
He got inside finally and was wondering what they did. “Okay… may I ask what we did? I mean, I didn’t mean to intrude.” He explained, probably playing nice. Probably if he played the innocent he gets answers.
The door closing and they drove. Seb was more focused on what he was dealing with. “… What is happening to us?”
The silence was loud in the car, until mumbling was sounded. Words stood out. Tremere, Elysium, Neonate. No sire.
“No sire. I don’t know what became of them..” He explained- eyeing the suit. But being mostly quiet. Anxious.
The silence was deafening and despite the anxiousness he could feel from his friend and the fact that he was new vampire, Tom was strangely calm, as if he were merely playing along with a group of young children, which they still were to him.
He might be a new vampire, but he was ancient.
“I have no sire,” Tom spoke up, leaning forward just a bit in between the crack of the two front seats. “I was turned by a dark god. I was never human,” he lied, “I was a Dragon... and now I’m very hungry. I also don’t take orders. This is my city.”
The look of the man turned around for one quick moment in shock, before Tom grabbed the back of his hair and slammed his face down into the steering wheel.
The car swerved, as the other man turned around to grab at Tom, when Tom ripped off the gear shift and shoved it upwards through the vampire’s jugular into his head. Tom reached over and swiped some of the blood up off the man’s neck with his finger and tasted it.
It was bitter and he shriveled with a shake in disgust. “What the hell? This is supposed to fucking taste good!”
The other man started to move at the wheel, his head also bleeding but much more alive still.
“You’ll be killed,” the man muttered, while spitting blood from his teeth. “There are rules in this city, with all vampire kind.”
“Rules? What rules?” Tom asked, as his hunger compelled him to lean in and sink his teeth right down into the man’s neck as the car skidded out and stopped into the bank along the side of the road. This one tasted good, and with heavily lidded eyes, Tom sucked on that raw skin, taking in the younger male’s thick red blood. “Speak to me. What rules?” he muttered between swallows as the young male stopped fighting him and even a pleasureful gasp escaped his lips. “Tell me,” his voice rolled, as Tom moved to slide his thumb down across the boy’s lip.
And of course he had hoped that somehow this went calmer than he expected or hoped for given Tom suddenly assumed himself immortal or something now in this world.
The scent of blood was so delicious though. He had to bite the inside of his cheek to not join in the carnage. The disgusted look made Seb roll his eyes, “looks like you’re figuring out what you like and don’t like- don’t bloody bite other vampyre!” He added quickly.
And he listened as the other seemed to react in pleasure over pain. Only when Tom released his teeth did the man whimper with some pain, “y-you can’t kill us- we will kill you if you do. Others know you’re here.”
Sebastian looks out the window, searching any kind of car that was trailing them.
“You can’t breach the masquerade- hunters will learn about us.”
“For fu- hunters are here to? Where the hell are we anyway? It feels as loud as New York but it’s off.”
“It’s New York. Of hell, are you two Malkavian? Is that why he’s speaking nonsense?”
“Malk- Okay I don’t know what that is. What Tremere is. We’re newborn I suppose here.” He hated the thought. “I don’t know what’s going on. I want answers, preferably with all of us coming out alive”
