I like to think mobian fur color genetics are very lenient with where they wanna go

I opened my comms to twt peoples due to Situations and I wasn’t expecting to get so many orders but I did and now I’m like

For context, I have tendinitis of the wrist sequels and an arm lipoma that appears to be pressing on one of my nerves now so working this much is, like, fucking me up but I am having so much fun, I fucking love drawing I’ve missed it tremendously XD

I’ve been struggling a lot with life recently-

Depression coming back full force for a couple a weeks-

But hey-!!! I wanted to draw and I’ve been inspired by

@mercurio-shadowz for the overall amazing arts out there-!!! And I was like- hey - Maybe I can achieve something nice like this too-!

So I worked on my art quite a bit.. tests from here and there.

Because I felt like my art kept changing every time I posted and it bugged me so hard dawg.

I keep searching my style identity- but - hey-! We can’t just know what we want until we try everything right?

Anyway- here is a sneak peak of shadow- ( again )

Hey I don't want to be annoying, but how is your dog? I'm worried for him :c

HE'S SO MUCH BETTER!! AAAA

cw: Gross, very gross medical stuff

The growth (???) thingy he had... it ulcered, right? then it got infected and burst so it turned into a wound...

They squeezed the growth out of it, it was so fucking gross and it smelled horrible and he was very VERY unhappy about it, but they managed to get half of it out at the vet and we squeezed the rest of it out here (it was off white in colour and looked like some form of fatty tissue)

Here's how big it used to be:

(sidenote, i dunno why the date says that but you can reverse image search the image and nothing will show up online lol. I also have The Logs with the vet in case y'all want me to show the datez)

After we got most of it out, the skin around it started to die, and it had to be peeled off, which, as you can imagine, didn't look good either, but it was for the sake of helping him heal

He's doing so much better now, the skin around the wound is healing very well now with the help of topical cream and constant cleaning as well as antibiotics

Thank you to everyone who comm'd me and donated money for him, it helped a lot with costs for the blood analysis, the xray ( or whatever it's called) and the meds :''')

I was so stressed out for him, he was so so brave and now he's back to shaking his butt from how hard he wags his tail and trying to stand on his hind legs despite the vet and us telling him he shouldn't NFKSJHF

He might as well be a puppy again from how much energy he has in him

Rouge is Spinner's favorite cuz she's more permissive LOL

Plus she tells him stuff about Shadow that Shadow wouldn't normally tell him, and he likes that too

He doesn't have a favorite uncle, he doesn't get to spend much time with them cuz Shadow thinks they're too dangerous for Spinner to be around

UPDATE!

Sorry for taking so long, I’ve been processing things, I don’t deal well with pets getting sick

He’s got two problems

First one is incurable, it’s a spinal condition called spondylosis deformans. Basically there are little beak shaped hooks in his spine discs that will grow and worsen with age. It can be painless and just make the pupper walk kinda stiffly, which thankfully appears to be the case with our old man

Second one is more complicated? He’s had this growth on his side that was said to be benign during a previous vet visit years ago. It grew with age and it seemed okay until it turned into an ulcer and burst. It’s now draining and the skin on top of it is doing its best to heal… it looks gnarly as hell.

That second problem requires surgery that we’re not even sure if is gonna be possible due to the old man’s age (he’s an eleven year old senior pup). Currently, the infection that said ulcer rupture caused is being treated (with pills and very thorough cleanings), and we were told to wait until said infection was cleared to discuss the surgery officially…

To say I’m stressed out would be an understatement

I’ve known the old man for so long and he’s never been this badly sick, it pains me to see him like this

He’s still going strong despite everything, but I’m worried

I’m not showing a picture of the ulcer itself (it looks like a fucking zombie bite the darn thing) but here’s Mr. Principito (that’s The Little Prince) in his fucking cone that he hates

My interpretation of Shadow is that he appears stoic at a glance but in reality feels emotions very intensely, and most of that is because he was a former military project and came from a background of 50s scientists that believed "feeling your feelings" was communist propaganda and hasn't completely shaken it off because of it. It explains why he is often misrepresented and mischaracterized, (especially by SEGA) and it is because either some people fall for the facade or they assume he is an asshole without looking deeper. I know that's probably not an original take, but it should be said. I believe people are allowed to have their own interpretation of a character, (as long as it isn't harmful or done in bad faith) but your Shadow is definitely the closest to how I imagine him in my head so you're doing great work here! :)

DHIAHF we got the same idea! except for mercurioverse Shadow it's a combination of his upbringing and him being autistic

He already had a hard time showing his feelings and emotions before, and with the way all the scientists treated him he shut down even more, but he feels oh so strongly about things all the time :((

Is it a coincidence that spinners inhibitor rings look a lot like silvers cuffs, is it was a design choice or completely accidental it’s fine but it’s a funny little detail i noticed
