I don't know how much lore I've posted of them before on here, but they're heavily depressed and distrustful of everyone and everything for awhile. Like it's Bad. They do not want to be alive. At All. Once they met Planck and befriended Einstein and Tesla things got easier, but also a lot harder. Instead of going Teslas route, they went the route of self isolation, self sabatoge, and disociation a majority of the time.
The fear of constantly feeling like a burden, never knowing if Tes and Ein actually cared about them, and feeling like they'd be better off gone. In current time they've learned to cope, but back then it was a lot worse.
Maybe tomorrow I'll elaborate about their feelings about Tesla and Einstein with regards to the mental fuckery.
They worked in the lab with them, and while they didn't mind, it was obvious it wasn't really their passion. They were taught by Planck and were behind compared to Tesla and Einstein (which makes sense considering it'd only been a year or two).
This isn't even considering their Honkai mutation. For awhile they tried to hide it, even around Tesla and Einstein, and hated it when anyone noticed or realized.
They hated Welt for awhile and wanted him Gone. It wasn't pure distrust though. They felt something off about him. They eventually became friends with him, but it was towards the end of his life. It's still one of their biggest regrets, and haunted them for awhile. They were kinda forced to talk to him and they realized that they weren't actually that different and he wasn't secretly evil or anything. It was the first time they ever talked about what happened before they ended up in Plancks care. They would've been best friends if they had more time.
Lab 42 had three active suicide risks, it was a fun time.
I actually know their exact relationship with everyone.
Schrodinger - Scared of her, but eventually becomes friends. Was scared of her at first because as soon as she saw them she stared at their ears / tail. Also they heard about the whole "Schrodingers cat" thing, and while she wouldn't have done anything to them they didn't know that. After her disappearance they helped with trying to find her, and once she finally came back they made a huge effort to talk to her more and become closer.
Planck - She was their care taker for awhile. She's kinda the reason they were able to become more than a test subject. She saw them when they got transferred to the NA branch and said "no" and dragged them off. Essentially she's their mother figure, but I doubt they got to say it to her. She knew though. Planck knows everything. Took on her last name due to not knowing their own and needing one.
Einstein - First person they met after Planck. They didn't really talk to her at first. Fear of her was the main reason, but also they did not know how to talk to her at all. Einsteins the one who kept poking and proding them until they tolerated (that's a joke, it's more just trusting that she wasn't going to hurt them) her existence and became friends.
Tesla - Met awhile after. Fear. Immense fear. They did not do good with loud noises and arguing or bickering. Also had a fear of losing Einstein as a friend. Doesn't matter because in the end they became friends too after she also poked them until they accepted her existence in their life. It was a lot harder, though. Especially with her drinking and how she acted when she was drunk.
Doesn't matter anyways they all got married in the end so it's whatever.
Welt - Would've been best friends. Annoying him and pestering him would've become their #1 hobby. Joking aside, they would get a long a lot better later on. When he first arrived they were already upset over him being there (feeling like their enviorment was changing and not liking a random person they never met being in what was their safe space), plus he probably noticed the ears and tail and looked at them and that Especially made them not trust him. A majority of their relationship before that is them avoiding him and when they do speak to him it's short. Einsteins the one who eventually forced them to talk to him (aka abandoned them and dragged Tesla off somewhere so they had zero escape). Again, he's the only other person aside from Tesla and Einstein they opened up to after realizing he went through similar things. Devastated after his death, and for awhile would talk to themself saying things that they never got to tell him pretending he could hear.
Joachim and his dad - I still need to flesh their relationship out more.
ADA - They probably talk to her a lot. Don't know why, I just think they would.
There's some for Reanna too but it's getting late and I have to work in the morning.
