Marvel: Builds up Loki’s character over many films, giving him one of the most complex character arcs of any MCU character, full of jealousy, anger, and yet also love. Also builds an extremely dynamic relationship with his brother Thor, another great character. Allows a huge fan base to build around him.

Also Marvel: Immediately kills him off, after he’s finally reached his redemption and is in a position to finally play a heroic role in the films, in the first scene of Infinity War.

Marvel: Taika, since you’re new, let’s go over how a Thor movie should go: Thor is the god of thunder

Taika: Right…

Marvel: He uses a hammer.

Taika: Chris looks better with short hair.

Marvel: Sure, but Thor wears a long red cape.

It really blows my mind that there are casual fans out there in this time of the end. Like. There are really people out there who are gonna enter Infinity War feeling like a normal functioning human being and leave like “wow, good movie” and simply leave it there. Look, I’m over here counting down to April 27th like it’s the day I’m gonna die, crossing stuff off a bucket list titled “things to do before Infinity War”. How can there be people out here who are just living life like normal right now. Where Infinity War really is just another movie. I don’t understand but wow life would be so much easier if I did
