I'm a tired, baby nurse who questions my career choice on the daily 🙄. My job is so full of long, hard, mentally, emotionally and physically taxing shifts right now. I had been taking care of the same *difficult* patient for several days and had finally made a connection with them. All the horrible nights I have somehow got a little dimmer when they looked at me teary eyed and said, "You always take good care of me; I love you honey." Sometimes they don't mean that stuff or they say that to everyone, but regardless it gives my heart a little flutter and helps remind me why I became a nurse. Even when I feel overwhelmed, exhausted or like giving up. 🙏🏼♥️👩🏻‍⚕️ #beanurse #RN #nurselife #heartonmysleeve #humblingmoments
