Title: Pikachu, I Choose You!
Summary: Makoto buys Haru a Pikachu onesie as an early Christmas gift.

“Merry Christmas!” Makoto said gleefully. He plopped down onto the couch next to Haru and placed a white rectangular box on the ottoman in front of him. He looked excitedly from the box to Haru and to the box again, like he expected him to open it.
Haru looked up at Makoto in confusion. “But… It’s not Christmas.”
Makoto shrugged and smiled his million-watt smile. “I know. But I saw this at the mall and I thought of you! And then I knew I couldn’t wait until Christmas to see you wear it.”
Wear it? The words piqued his curiosity, and Haru grabbed the box and placed it in his lap. Makoto shot him another excited look before he opened the box, revealing yellow fabric. Cautiously, Haru took the fabric out of the bag and examined it. It appeared to be a yellow onesie, with black stripes and a tail.
“What is it?” Haru asked, voice still monotonous as ever. So far, he didn’t share Makoto’s excitement about the new article of clothing.
“It’s Pikachu!” Makoto announced. He sounded so genuinely excited, so much so that happiness was bursting at the seams of his voice.
“Ah,” Haru commented, looking at the hood and seeing the familiar cartoon face. He absentmindedly traced the eyes and smiling mouth stitched on there.
“Well? Go try it on!” Makoto said, standing up and yanking Haru on his feet. Haru had barely managed to utter a very flustered and stunned ‘what’ before Makoto was shoving him in the bathroom and closing the door.
Haru looked down at the bunched up clothing in his hands and sighed. As long as it made Makoto happy, he would gladly wear it, he supposed.
He stripped out of his clothes with his trademark speed and changed into the onesie. Thankfully, It was way nicer than Haru had expected. It was just the right size (of course Makoto would know it) and fit him snugly. The material was soft and kept him warm and toasty, such a contrast to the cold of the house. He pulled the hood on and examined himself in the mirror. He didn’t look too bad. It was just like wearing pajamas. He reached up towards the hood and flicked the ears, just because.
He opened the door, somewhat expecting to see Makoto there. He wasn’t, so Haru took a few steps out in the hallway to look for him. “Makoto?” he called out.
“Ah, Haru! Coming!” Haru turned just in time to see Makoto walk out of the living room.
Makoto stopped in his tracks and looked Haru over. His face turned beet red and he cleared his throat. “I-It looks good! Do you like it?”
Haru nodded. “Mm. It’s warm.”
Makoto smiled. “Well I’m glad!”
Haru walked over to his flustered boyfriend and wrapped his arms around Makoto’s neck. “Thanks,” he said simply.
Makoto blushed even more. “O-Oh, it’s no problem.” He wrapped his arms around Haru’s waist and pulled him close. “You look really cute in that, Haru-chan,” he mumbled, smiling shyly and looking up through his eyelashes.
Haru only rolled his eyes and left a kiss at the corner of Makoto’s mouth. “I’m gonna change,” Haru said.
Makoto only nodded and let Haru go.
As soon as the bathroom door clicked shut, Makoto covered his face with his hands and groaned softly into them. He could practically feel the heat from his face on his hands. Haru was always cute, always adorable, but seeing him in that…
