Intro Post

Hi, I'm Merlin. I'm 22, and from England. I really want to become a published author. My friend, @ghostofafruit told me I should stop relying on xem and actually try and advertise myself so here I am

I'm transmasc, and omnisexual. Most of the stories I want to write focus on queer themes. I am mildly dyslexic, and hey that's another thing in common with Ghost. I like to do fantasy, and romance. But I'm definitely a genre hopper

I'm not going to be overly active, mostly because I'm not sure what I'm doing here, again this is all ghost's fault. He's meant to be my public image but here I am anyway I guess

It only took me nearly four years but I finally came up with the plot for some of favourite characters! Now to write it. Perhaps I'll see you again in another four years.

I am going to be working on some short stories to share on AO3, while I slowly work through the vast universes I have a habit of creating.

I am having ideas, plans are being formed. This is only the beginning!

Addressing the allegations from my dear friend Ghost. I do not nap under my desk. That is where I store my notebooks full of character details and plot points I wish to one day explore.

Xe were right about one thing, I will be using the Jazzy Blue theme on Ellipsus. I do love it.

One more thing, I am not a cat. As much as I wish I were one, I am unfortunately human

I may be English, but I do sure love making the country a villain. In my first draft that needs so much more editing than I first thought I refereed to it as the 'Stolen Crown'.

I have twins, lesbian wives, teen on again of again gay boys, a trio of brothers, another trio of siblings, two incredibly loyal former royal guards, and a host of other characters. How am I meant to make a decision on who to focus on?

merlins back, back again, yes he's back. Though I bet he'll vanish again in a few days. BUT HES HAD IDEAS!! They're having ideas and I LOVE THEM. Basically he's gonna do what everyone talks about doing, backstory novellas for each character and I'm loving it. But he has a lot of characters in that story and omg the options (my vote is the on again off again romance of two background characters, OR the background polyam trio that I have an obsession with) someone go yell at him to actually write instead of just spewing his ideas at me

I have had ideas, and I'm also taking your advice and moving over to Ellipsus. I'll start with the crew, and then venture through other background characters. Be warned though, not many have happy stories

No idea what Merlin is up to rn, he said he was back on the grind but I'm yet to get a text asking me to proof read something :( @merlinoak are you really working? Do you still love me?

I'm currently designing some rooms in one of my stories. I never loved you Ghost, I merely tolerate you with a smile and a warm fuzzy feeling in my chest.

Back on that writing grind

Today me, my family, and many others lost a family friend. This hits particularly hard for me. He was, despite his age, my biggest supporter with my writing (including how gay I'm making it). It comes as a shock, and I'm not sure how I'm handling it just yet. He was my biggest supporter, both verbally, and by offering actual help to push me places once I finished a first draft. Now I wish I'd taken him up on his offer to send off my unfinished first draft to a publisher just so I had a paper trail proving his never ending support. I'll miss him dearly, and I rather think I'll dedicate my first book to him even if he wasn't gay and a young adult/teen whatever the target audience ends up being
