So I've gotten more engagement with this blog than I expected, so I think I'll do a little introduction!

Hi! I'm Rin! She/Her, Late 20's, Asexual Lesbian. Asks always welcome, give me a reason to yap about being big! Tinys are expected to report to the asks for mandatory hugs/kisses <3

I'm just your average gal who wants to hold a car in the palm of her hand. I've been a G/t slash macro/micro fan for about as long as I can remember, but I've only started really engaging with it in earnest in the last few months. My primary interest is in sapphic stories, particularly with giant women in leading roles. I do enjoy g/t content involving human/tiny (borrowers, faeries, etc), but the stuff i enjoy the most is giantess/human. theres a lot of tiny blogs here and i love getting to interact with them in a human/tiny context too! but being big to someone and just being big are really different experiences!

I've also found I like doing soft roleplay/in character posting. I like being big, gentle, and a bit flirty. However I am asexual so I won't really be engaging with directly sexual content much!

So I've come to a realization.

(Warning for mentions of fetishes, as well as discussions of misogyny, below the cut. There's nothing actually NSFW here though, so don't worry. I just feel like this needs to be said.)

I think the only reason why people call giantess-based movies like Monsters Vs. Aliens and Attack of the 50 ft Woman "Fetish bait" is because the giant characters in them are women. In G/t media with giant men, such as Iron Giant, Gulliver's Travels, The BFG, etc., nobody bats an eye or suspects any NSFW intent, but when the giant character is a woman, it's suddenly "The Writer's Poorly Disguised Giantess Fetish." People assume that female-centric media is inherently more sexual because society (Especially the internet) has been conditioned to think that women are inherently more sexual. So when a movie depicts a conventionally attractive woman as a giant, people are more likely to assume fetishistic intent than if the giant character was male.

In other words, the misconception that Monsters Vs. Aliens, Attack of the 50 ft Women, etc. are all fetish bait is really just another product of internet misogyny.

As a woman in the g/t space... yes Absolutely, 100% Non-fetish content of giant women is so stigmatized by misogyny that it creates its own feedback loop. Internet weirdos think content with a big women is fetish/fetish bait -> People are afraid to discuss/make content involving giant women because they don't want to be associated with all that -> the majority of content left available featuring giant women is fetish content because like, duh -> cycle repeats.

It took me almost a decade to break through this as a woman who likes to be giant.

Giants using tinies as pieces for a board game. The tinies move when the giant commands it. Two tinies sharing a space and getting a moment to catch up and be buddy buddy. Maybe using tinies for one of those tabletop war games like Warhammer 40k and have everyone scaled to size with the environment they have on the table and the tinies all in cosplay with prop weapons and stuff. Having the vehicles and tanks that have working doors and you can see your tiny troops dismount from it or enter and occupy it. The tinies doing a little bit of RP while on the battlefield like idle chatting to their nearby allies and responding to their giant commanders accordingly. The giants breaking out measuring tapes right next to the tiny to see how far a unit can travel before watching them skitter ahead to take their new place at the end of the measuring tape. Tinies playing dead when their character runs out of health and just getting up and dusting themselves off after the battle.

Or the tinies as stand-ins for tabletop rpg games like dungeons and dragons. A game master making a whole little dungeon and areas using cardboard and paper and the tinies in cosplays going around and doing their thing.

Something I'm curious about is why do you enjoy being a giant in relation to tinies? I'm curious since I've never really thought about it and don't know what makes it so appealing to be a giant.

A big one is touch. I'm pretty touchy, I like different touch sensations generally and I also love physical contact with people. Picking up a tiny really feels like the perfect combination of those, a tiny moving around in my hands, maybe they're hugging a finger or laying on my palm. My hands are sensitive, I can feel all of their little motions against me. Just, touch in general on that scale is such a huge draw to me.

Control too, in the context of tinys, being big means I know I can protect them from danger. I'm a very empathetic and emotional person, and I get so much joy out of just helping the people I love. I can cup my friends in the palm of my hands and just know that they're safe, nothing will harm them, I can take care of them. It's simplistic or perhaps a bit childish but it feels right that being bigger means being better able to take care of people.

I also just think, well, that being big just suits me. I don't mean this in a vain or grandiose way, but being big and unmissable just feels like that's how I'm supposed to be. It's like letting somebody see a truer part of yourself and not having to hide it anymore. There's actually a few lines in the song "Everybody Scream" by Florence and The Machine thats stuck rattling around in my brain.

Anyways, hope that last bit didn't come off too weird! I love people seeing me because I love people! They're amazing, they're unique, they're my friends! ^^

Why does being into g/t feel like a deep dark secret?

I've seen so many people on here say how embarrassed or awkward or even ashamed they feel about their interest in g/t, and it's just like... why

What is it about g/t specifically that feels way weirder than any other 'non mainstream' interest? People who are really into dragons or mermaids or fantasy things in general are usually pretty open about it and no one bats an eye, but then wanting to say "hey I really like giant/tiny people" feels taboo for some reason

Like I swear it was easier for me to come out to my family than it was to tell my closest friends and boyfriend that I really like extreme size differences

And the craziest part? None of them thought it was that weird and I was worried over nothing 😭

I'm going to say it's probably because there is the expectation that people think you're talking about a kink. Giantess fetish is a pretty mainstream-ly understood one, as is furrydom as a fetish too. A lot of people struggle to understand that there's a huge side to these kinds of interests that is not sexual in any way. Not to say there's anything wrong with kinks, hell no, it's freaking awesome how many different flavors of sexuality there are out there. Liking dragons or mermaids are not interests known in the mainstream mostly as kinks, so they feel more "clean" and "normal".

Telling someone about gt feels so embarrassing possibly because it feels like you risk your words being taken as a confession towards a kink. Not something you usually want to discuss with just whoever out there.

Also even without the sexual aspect, gt can be very intimate. It can feel a lil embarrassing to talk to people about romantic or platonic intimacy too. It do be like that unfortunately.

At least that's my take on it. But there are plenty of ppl out there who understand, I'm glad to have people in my life rn who saw my blog and just went cool, anyway-

i think "g/t is very intimate inherently" is probably why it feels so hard to talk about. it feels like these days a lot of people are uncomfortable with even the idea of platonic physical touch, and a lot of the most interesting stuff (to me at least) in g/t involves touch. platonic or otherwise g/t often involves a very descriptive and deep understanding of the bodies of those involved, and i think a lot of people find that weird, unfortunately.

Okay so I know I post mainly about being gentle here (and i am very gentle!!) but sometimes my cuteness aggression runs out of control and like. You know those toys you had as a kid where they'd be a ball or maybe vaguely animal shaped, and if you squeezed them you couldn't pop them but they'd look weird and like inflate out of your hand and make weird sounds sometimes?

...sometimes I wanna do that to a tiny. I wanna squeeze them so tight they make silly noises. Or fling them against a wall and they make a super satisfying SPLAT and then give you a little thumbs up. Or just fling them at mach 10 in a random direction and watch them soar. Like, consensually! and if somehow, someway they wouldn't be harmed by it. Like they were a goo tiny or something.

First off, thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoy them, and I do plan on writing more!

As for why I like being small, there are a number of things about it that are really important to me. Some of this will be going off of my VR experiences, which have been invaluable and so incredibly validating for me.

I just feel more comfortable being small. This was confirmed for me the moment I started playing VRChat. Even on desktop, the moment I first shrank myself down, it felt like a weight was lifted. Actually having a headset and truly being able to see things from a tiny point of view? Fantastic, amazing, there’s nothing else like it.

I’ve never been a fan of drawing too much attention to myself, so being small is relieving in that I’m easier to miss, and it’s a lot easier to hide and get away from everything if things feel too intense or overstimulating.

Ironically, the idea of being so small and having the attention of someone who’s just so much bigger than me is comforting too, and this applies both mentally and physically. Mentally, just the idea of their focus being on me when they could so easily ignore me is reassuring. And physically? Being cuddled as a tiny rocks. If I’m being held in VR (despite it being a visual experience only), I just relax instantly and smile the entire time, even after my face hurts, and sometimes I have to try to keep from passing out if I’m in a particularly cozy position.

On my bed, I have a heated mattress pad and two weighted blankets that I sleep with every night, and it very effectively simulates me sleeping on a giant’s chest with their hand over me. I play a slow heartbeat asmr, and I’m out like a light. If I’m lucky and receive cuddles in a dream, I wake up and spend the entire day in a great mood.

There’s also the idea of just being taken care of and kept safe when I’m feeling vulnerable or stressed that comforts me. That also goes back to the part about being easily hidden away. If a giant were to put me in their pocket when I’m having a bad day, it would boost my mood so much. Also, never being cold again is appealing. Being kept warm by a giant all the time? Amazing.

So yeah, this turned into a ramble that kinda went all over the place but I hope it was clear enough why I just prefer being small 😊

I've actually done the same thing in VRChat back when I had space for my headset, and yeah I had the same experience just in reverse As soon as I made myself big it was just immediately "Oh my god this is so right" Unfortunately at the time I chickened out on joining a server for it, but maybe I'll try it again someday!

But its so interesting seeing how we have a lot of the same thoughts and such but then the way they manifest is totally different. Like, you mentioning not wanting to draw attention to yourself made me think about how thats something I actually enjoy but have trouble bringing attention to myself. Being big would make me hard to miss obviously ^^

Unfortunately I am neither talented nor patient enough for art, although I truly wish I was, I've been fascinated by animation for as long as I can remember.

I think one of the things about being big that I haven't touched on yet is tactile feelings. I love touch, I love feeling things in my hands, slipping them between my fingers, going over every last groove and line. And I'm also pretty touchy with other people too, I love giving and getting hugs and I like to make contact with people just in general. So I like thinking about how things would feel in my hands if I was much bigger. I think thats one of the reasons I like holding tinys so much is it combines those two things for my, contact with another person and exploring how something (or someone) feels in your hands.

I think my favorite g/t trope is "tiny who rightfully doesnt trust/want to interact with the giant but finally caves" particularly if the dynamic becomes basically "dad who didnt want a dog" as the giant happily showers them with love as they sit there looking grumpy but kinda flustered <3

I've been thinking about giants who have a job within a city. Maybe they can be demolitionists quickly destroying marked buildings and cleaning them up. A giant who helps compact and condense trash to take even less room. A giant helping manage wildfires by carving a line to help limit and make sure it can't go beyond a certain point along with dumping huge water buckets on fire. A giant working with farmers with a giant watering can to water many plants at once quickly or tools to help prepare land for planting and dispersing seeds throughout it. A giant who helps clean the exterior of buildings. Or like a giant fisher who helps net and catch fish (RESPONSIBLY). There's more jobs but I can't really think of any more right now.

I really like the giant fisher since they'd be partially submerged in water and I find it so cool and I think them in fisher gear would look cool.

I am gentle by nature, but I do love destruction, so long as nobody gets hurt in the process. Being on a giant wrecking crew would be so satisfying, to crunch a building down to nothing with just my body is exhilarating. Look rage rooms exist for a reason, a giantess needs that kind of stimulation too!
