Doubt is real.  Our faith gives us security that Jesus is real and all powerful.

I am so proud to work in a ministry that gives accurate Biblical resources to pastors and their congregations all over the world.  This is a great resource for people who struggle to “do it right” the six days a week they are not at church.

I went to school with the author of this song.  True story.  I do not remember him because he was younger than me but he and I went to the same pep rallies, the same football games and ate in the same cafeteria.  Our high school experiences were so different and this song is a result of what was happening with his dad during those times.

They told this girl that she was not good enough to play ball.  She was not able to practice with the best team and the best coaches yet she goes out each day and gives it her all, never complains, and is never jealous of others who get opportunities that could be hers.  What if we took this approach to our every day?  Living in Christ means we show love in all ways, at all times, and not just when we feel like it.  It also means that we have faith that God will take care of us when we work hard for him.  

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:17

Probably seemed strange to hear Jesus say this when it originally happened but now it makes total sense.  We see him start his ministry we know as the Church.

Mark 1:17 “Follow me and I will make you become fishers of men.”.

Watching my son and his passion reminds me of this story.....

Matthew 4:18-22

18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him. 21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
