It’s the first year that Puck had been in Yokohoma for the holiday. Even so, the ring of her doorbell strikes her as a surprise. Sure, her vacation home is a lofty one, but even accounting for that much, no one came beforehand. That’s not to say she’s not prepped, no, far from that. Due to her sweet tooth, there were plenty of porcelain bowls around the house filled to the brim with an assortment of candy. Midst her mild confusion, she picks one up and slugs it around an arm, using her other to open the door. She raises a brow at the visitor standing in her doorway.

“Hey, how did you know where I lived?” The society member blinks, sizing up Regulus and his costume. She could commend the enthusiasm behind it, but that wasn’t to say she liked it. Lions could be boiled down to a simple label – a big animal. Puck hated big animals. 

“Whatever, I don’t really care, as long as you don’t bring trouble to my door in the future. You came for candy right?” She ushers the porcelain bowl previously in her grasp forward. “Take it. I’ve got like twenty of these on the counter.”

“Huh?” Regulus heard someone calling for him and turned around to see someone familiar. Wasn’t she Kunikida’s friend? He wondered what the favor was and why she looked so tired. 

“Of course! I see you around Kunikida sometimes so you are his friend, right? What is the favor?”

“Right, we’re friends,” she nods rather unconvincingly. “That’s not who I’m coming to talk about right now, though.”

Puck supposes that his ignorance was rather convenient for the situation at hand. Though his level of enthusiasm and excitement was mildly irritating for her – frankly anyone who was in a good mood while she wasn’t proved to be very annoying. She truly hoped that scheming out a prank would light the fire back in her heart and add pep to her step.

“I have a score to settle with a certain somebody that you work with. Do you have any fresh ideas on how to mess with him?” Manicured hands raise to her head, miming the hairstyle of one of the other agency members to serve as a hint. “I’m looking for an outsider’s take on this. It’s better to have another perspective while planning new things.”

IT'S A DARE! Say 3 things you love, 3 things you dislike and 3 facts about OC you write! Because they're amazing and deserve the attention!

unprompted and i cannot say i was expecting this at all!!

Whoa. I always log onto this blog sporadically not expecting much, but this ask was a pleasant surprise, thank you. Especially given the fact in terms of OCs my attention was more shifted toward Chang’e on the multi. But god do I miss Puck, so thank you.

Why I love her:

I guess if Starr were here to see this, Starr would immediately call me out in saying chaotics are my brand. And I have to agree, that’s absolutely true with Puck and why I love her. Puck is so unabashedly herself, and the times she’s not and faking a demure, innocent personality I find it very interesting how she just loves to manipulate and toy with people. She strives toward self-satisfaction, constantly has to be stimulated and freed of her boredom, or she’ll do something extreme and dramatic to get that accomplished. Puck is also so much more threatening than her playful persona lets on, and I love that.

Dislikes:

One thing I really really hate about Puck, at least in terms of muse, is she can have the loudest voice in the world but just outright refuse to respond to things because she doesn’t feel like it. While she’s very attention indulgent, she’s also just super entitled and it makes having consistent responses hella difficult. While I love her for it, I also hate that I’m constantly having to apologize for her bullshit in the tags cause god she’s a fucking feral. Especially in these two replies to KW’s Eliot and Tracie’s Chuuya specifically. Lately she’s also been super into the idea of lighting things on fire too just for fun, and it’s kind of scaring me.

Facts: 

It’s always a super hilarious fact to list but it’s true – Puck’s origin strives from this fancam of Blackpink LMFAO.  I saw Lisa with her super high orange side ponytail and I was like. Oh my god, I need to make an OC with a hairstyle like that. And then I started thinking of media/books I liked and wah-lah, you got a Shakespeare’s work incarnate. More specifically, though, there was this twitter meme going on around at the time with that fancam side by side one of their dance rehearsals (where they look super fucking tired) where it was like “me at the start of the school year vs me now” and. yeah. I still have yet to find that tweet again but trust me I’ve tried.

I’ve said it before on this blog, and IDK if it’s by chance or what, but she’s been the most successful fucking with muses who are glasses wearers. She doesn’t even do this specifically to those types of muses. I find that coincidence really fucking funny, and if you have a muse who wears glasses, you better watch out. You better watch out. You b

When I was first in midst of creating her, I only thought about (in terms of her interacting with canons) how well she’d get along with Twain. And then the realization she’s pretty similar to Dazai hit me in the fucking head like twenty bricks.

“Ehh? What’s the point in freaking out? You’re scaring everyone around us, you know. Did you forget you’re in public with that scary face of yours?” Puck speaks up as she continues to scroll away on her cell phone. She has zero clue what sort of dilemma her opposite is going through. It has nothing to do with her personally, yet she finds the predicament quite hilarious nonetheless. Eventually, she raises her gaze to stare at them.

“If it’s such a big issue to worry about, wouldn’t dying be the best solution? C’mon, c’mon! Clock’s ticking - if you have the time to waste your breath then maybe you should stop breathing altogether!”

No. That was not what he meant. His eyes softened but he left he carry on before speaking up, his insides twisted and he felt sick. Osamu knew he was not the best when it came to women, he knew that he slept around and then left them after without saying goodbye. But when it came to those he cared about he tried not to act out, he tried to not act in such a vile way as he knew what it felt like. 

The light from his eyes flickered out at those words, it was a playful statement that also triggered him. It made him laugh, “ I left that life behind and crushed that part of me. I don’t think anyone would want me to go back to that… nobody would really be safe if that was the case. ”  His nails curled into his palm, “ trust me when I say I see you much more than those who I fool around with. Oh and I don’t care if you spend more time with me or not that is up to you, I’d never hold you to talk to me. ”

Ugh.

The air of the conversation bites at her mind like a migraine - uncomfortable, irritating, and everpresent. It seriously pisses her off that she feels compelled to drop her own fun out of odd consideration. Frustration pangs at her temples, brows twitching as all semblance of her haughty demeanor simply floundered to a full stop. Her hand drops to her side, frown tugging at her lips as she considered what to say next.

“.... This became way too serious than planned. When did I sign up to be the protagonist of a JDrama?” The society member sighs to make her agitation apparent. It takes a considerable amount of restraint to not hound on him to try harder to win her over. It’s an insult to her ego if she were the one to come off so pleading - she refuses. So she decides to hold back. 

“I don’t like drama,” Puck states with a huff. Her words are almost contradictory, in a way, how she states something which such determination while choosing to deliberately beat around the bush about her wishes. “Unless it eventually becomes funny. Or funny in a secondhand way. ”

He pouts at her hand but he got it and wouldn’t have dared to get closer anyway, Osamu knew how vile those around him were and he also knew they’d probably try and copy his actions and get touchy- not that he couldn’t see Puck dealing with that.

                                “ What about a 2,000 yen tip? ”

A smile went to his lips. “ Oh now we wouldn’t want you getting fired, maybe you can do that later when we’re alone, hm? ” Dazai went to his coat pocket and pulled his wallet out and waved it, normally he’d avoid paying such a thing if it was anyone else. 

“A tip? I was just following standard routine. But I think it’s funny that you think I can be bought.” A devilish simper dances on her own features. He really was so hilarious! Melony ponytail bobs as her head launches back, stifling full out laughter behind manicured nails.

“Are you some sort of masochist? What makes you think making such a bold, and entirely wrong accusation about spending any more time with you would make this situation easier on you?” In an odd combination of being both insulted, yet thoroughly entertained, Puck feels strangely satisfied with the flow of conversation. Eyes slit, snake-like intent shadowing her hues.

“I think a dog like you should be tied up and left on the sidewalk!♡ “

“You can’t tell on me to Fyo-chan! If you do, I’ll be really, really sad!” While her pitiful expression was mostly for show, there was a bit of truth behind her words. She thoroughly thrived off of being praised by Fyodor, and being forced into a corner where he scolded her was a situation that she kind of wanted to avoid. But mostly, she wanted to see if she was able to draw any sign of sympathy from the new addition to their organization. Mayu was fully prepared to reduce herself to an act of tears streaming down her face just for fun. 

Besides, why should she be punished for being curious about setting Gogol’s coat on fire?

“I’m going to cry. I’ll seriously cry~! And I’ll hate you forever!”

“Sooooo~rry, I couldn’t help myself! Your skin looked so flawless, so I had to make sure I was seeing right!” Despite his obvious confusion, she continues to rub his cheek in circles. The act was a combination of both general playfulness and admiration. “I swear, not even top-notch skincare routines can compete. Many girls would be jealous!”

“You really can’t? I see, I see.~” Puck smiles warmly, quick to change her attitude. The society member promptly shoves her hand in front of his face before he got any closer. While her tone was playful, it held the same danger of being at knifepoint.

“Well, for the trouble of dealing with this ignorance, I’m issuing a service fee of 800 yen! Being so close to me is only permitted when I’m on job, otherwise, I have every right to tase you. You can pay it, right?”

“Vacation at Yokohama? Shouldn’t you ask a tour operator to help you plan for your vacation?” Although asking a tour operator would be expensive. If it was him, he would just plan his own vacation. There was no point in spending money on something he could easily do. Maybe that was why she asked him, it was so she could save money. “However, I have some time in my schedule so I will help you. I would just need to know some information first.” He opened his notebook and took out a pen, ready to start taking notes.

“Don’t children usually give nicknames to people they know? Unless you want to sound like a child, then I suggest you change your vocal signature. I doubt everyone you meet is fine with you calling them by nicknames so I am sure I am not the only exceptio…special exception? No, I don’t but…” He narrowed his eyes suspiciously at her. “What do you mean?”

He didn’t really understand what she meant by special exception but he had a bad feeling about this especially from her tone of voice. He was instantly reminded of Dazai and all the times he annoyed him. 

Oh, how she adored those eyes. They weren’t quite reminiscent of the hearty animosity people sometimes glared at her with, though they were on the right track of negativity. She feels ecstatic to change the topic - this was much more suited toward her plight of teasing. It would be ideal if he got a heart attack with the justification that flowed quickly through her mind, but really, any sort of deliberate reaction would do.

“I mean being my boyfriend, of course.” 

She giggles, pushing the topic further with a devilish curve of her lips. Puck bats her eyelashes and presses a hand to the top of her chest, feigning a sense of innocence shortly after.  

“If I change my habit of nicknames or shortening names and slapping on -chan at the end of it, then you have to be really special to me, you know? Are you fully prepared to take on that sort of responsibility for the sake of your own comfort to be called something more appropriate?”

Vitality from her usual demeanor lacks on today in particular. In truth, she’s quite irritated, though lacking the energy to overtly express it as of right now. It’s been far too long since she’s gotten an opportunity for stimulation - an opportunity to have fun when she was at the Magic Society’s will when being assigned increasingly boring work. She spots Regulus and decides to approach him, walking slowly and with heavy steps as if lead filled the inside of her heels.

“Hey, you. You’re part of the detective agency, right? I’d like to ask for a favor, as a fellow friend.”

      In direct contrast to her sudden proximity, Mika flinches back, eyes wide. “I——excuse me?” He gapes, bewildered less by her question than by her general air of fearlessness. What was wrong with her? Morbid curiosity, she says? It seems more like a deathwish to the vampire. Maybe he should be relieved that she’s not staring at him in fear. It makes him feel just a little bit human. But no, Mika shakes his head, reminding himself he’s the furthest thing from human. She should get out of here if she knows what’s good for her!

     “You don’t just march up to a lion because you’re curious, you know! That’s how you get eaten!” The protest is voiced before he can stop himself, although comparing himself to a lion hardly felt accurate. He had no plans to make a meal of her, fangs or otherwise.

“I do.” The society member retorts quickly, making it a point to gesture at herself. “Only an idiot wouldn’t have some sort of an idea for an escape plan if worst came to worst. But maybe that’s also part of the fun.” 

Surely this hadn’t been the first time he’s been approached for this same topic, right? So why was he so surprised? To her, it’s something similar to a car wreck. No matter how disastrous it may be, eyes and attention couldn’t help but be passed onto it, regardless of the fact if they enjoyed it or not. Puck was fully part of the small minority that enjoyed the car wreck - enamored by all sorts of danger. Danger made apparent by the strange comparison she caught onto.

“Ah... so they are real!” Her pink hues twinkle with a newfound sort of excitement. Some sort of otherworldly being wouldn’t be the weirdest thing she’s come across, but it was intriguing nonetheless. “You could have just started with that!”
