anyway one last post about things that have ever pissed me off.

I remember I was taking a creative writing class and this one author came in to talk about his memoir about being biracial. We were expected to write a report about how the memoir was presented in a creative, impactful manner. The n-word was used in the title, though, so naturally opinions on that came up.

Then came the "it's just a word" allegations like. Hey, you're in a writing class, you should know that words have meaning and impact?? One person said "it's like people forget Hitler was a person" as if people can't do terrible things and shouldn't face consequences for those terrible things.

This was a few years ago, during the first Trump administration, and I'm kinda scared about those people who said those things now that he's back in office. I know it's stupid because the chances of me seeing them again are slim, but it still bothers me that people can be so... eh, dismissive and overly simple in their approach to things.

Hi... everybody calls me Sorrow. I use she/her pronouns, and I'm a traveling nurse based in Unova. I got my nickname because I'm not quite as perky as the nurses found in most pokemon centers, most of which named Joy, so...

Taking a break

Hey guys, I've admittedly been pretty burnt out lately. It's nothing anyone else here did, I just need to focus on me for a bit. In order to enforce this onto myself, I'm also going to log off my tumblr blogs and discord for a few days.

My mental health has been so bad it's been sapping my brain's creative juices, for lack of a better way to describe it. I'm going to take some time to recover, but I'll probably be back in a couple days.
