I still haven’t watched 5x11 and by the looks of all the posts it was something that I’d be destroyed about, especially, since I dedicated this day to rewatch some eps from season 2 and 3. I feel that by when I end watching that ep, I’d probably invest what’s left of this year and the next one writing a very long sq fic that doesn’t treat all these lady characters as shit or as some guy’s accessory.
We obtained a massive lead and still have one but they are currently voting at a much faster rate than us. Vote as often as you can! We have a long week ahead!

on sacrifices and acts of true love
I don’t know if I’m surprised that Emma made Hook a Dark One to “save” him. Lol. But it is so curious that Emma didn’t think twice about using Excalibur to save Hook even though she knew what it will do and even though Hook told her not to. If you’re a CS shipper, you’d most definitely say because “Hook is her true love, that’s why.”
The act of saving someone is an act of true love, I agree. However, not all acts of saving is an act of true love.
Before Emma used excalibur to save Hook, Hook loudly and clearly told Emma not to use it to save him. He didn’t want to be a dark one. He told Emma to let him go. But Emma didn’t listen and proceeded to use excalibur to save him and turned Hook into a dark one. You say it is an act of true love? I say bullshit.
How is not honoring someone’s dying wish an act of true love? That’s not true love. It’s not even remotely close to being a sacrifice. It’s an act of selfishness. And why you may ask? Emma knows how hard it is to fight off the darkness. Yet she was so quick to decide to turn Hook into a dark one and completely ignored everything Hook told her. If she did truly love him, she would have let him go just like he asked her. And then maybe proceeded to hunt Arthur and Zelena because they were the ones responsible for Hook’s death anyway.
Anyway, if you still don’t get my point, let me explain further. If you look up the meaning of sacrifice, it says:
“A sacrifice is a loss or something you give up, usually for the sake of a better cause.”
Applying this definition, then what Emma did is clearly not sacrifice. First, she didn’t give something up. In fact, she did the exact opposite. But let’s say Emma’s act of ignoring Hook’s wish not to turn him into a dark one to save his life is a sacrifice. My next question would be, what is the better cause that would make that act a sacrifice? Emma and Hook’s “future” together?
Now I’m not the biggest fan of this guy but if there is anyone who did sacrifice something for a better cause, it’s Hook. I’m gonna go out on a limb here but I’m assuming that when Hook said this in response to Emma’s “but our future” he meant Emma not being the Dark One anymore because excalibur will snuff out the darkness from her.
Still not convinced? How about a parallel? Remember the candle that can save someone’s life but would take away another’s life as a price? Remember how Snow didn’t use it on her mother because using it to save her doesn’t say true love at all if it costs another person’s life? How is that any different from Emma using excalibur to save Hook? Yes there isn’t another person’s life involved. It’s worse. It involves turning the person you love into someone dark and someone they don’t want to be.
Now let’s apply that definition of sacrifice to another situation shall we?
So again the definition says sacrifice is a “loss or something you give up.” This time, Emma did sacrifice something. HERSELF. And the better cause? Regina’s happiness.
Emma could have let Regina be the dark one. But she didn’t. I said earlier that it was such a curious thing that Emma was so quick to give in to Hook being a dark one. This is the reason why. Because when it was Regina who’s in the verge of being a dark one, Emma didn’t give a fuck about leaving everyone else just to save Regina. She sacrificed her own self just so Regina won’t become a dark one. She only cared about Regina’s happiness.
To make it more simple, the CS situation was like Emma dragging Hook to experience hell with her as dark ones. While in the SQ situation, Emma chose to go through hell to save Regina from experiencing it again.
I REST MY CASE. True love, anyone?
THE SWAN QUEEN PARALLEL TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE:

Meanwhile in not so fucking unintentional after all OUAT-land, Emma stands near a (wishing?) well and proceeds to have an emotional tug-o’-war with the next person to enter the courtyard (Regina). Both of them are “wishing” for something to happen. Regina wishes Emma would tell her the truth. Emma wishes for…?
wHAT THE BLOODY HELL.
So, after that last night’s episode and reading all then swen before doing it, I just have something to say, maybe it’s unpopular, but it’s just my perspective:
Regina uses the dagger to make Emma tell the truth.
That scene got me at the edge of my seat, especially with Regina’s face and expressions.
Well, let me tell you something here, for those losing the hope or dissing the possibility: if the truth would have been that one of having a future with Killian, then two questions: Why the interrumption? And, why Emma would hesitate to tell such thing to Regina?
Having a future with him doesn’t have anything to do with Regina, then why the face and the hesitation? and why the Charmings sticking to Regina?
Also, a detail, she said it without being under the influence of the dagger.
If you ask me about the desperation from Emma to Killian, I just have something to say, when you have something you can’t help but to hold on to, especially if it’s something solid you can stick to, even if it’s a lie, you wouldn’t let it go that easily. On top of that, we have the enormous difference between both characters, as in Regina and Killian, on saving their lives matter. When the first one was about to die, Emma sacrificed herself to save her, when the second one was about to die, she sacrificed the future of everyone else.
When she said that Regina would have do such thing for Daniel or Robin. No, that line was so out of.. I don’t know... context? character? Their saving or resurrection wasn’t at the cost of lots of people’s safety.
What if Emma would have said that she’s afraid of her love for Regina, or Regina rejecting her.
This is just a theoretical view, a random hypothesis of mine, not from all the swen (yes, haters, it’s with you. Don’t take it on them), but let me tell you something, if we take it from this statement, then the interrumption was for the best.
What the show would be saying if those feelings where the dark secret or biggest fear considering that Emma is being put as The Dark One?
Well, ladies and gentlemen, it would come out for the extreme heterosexual side as what society has been making us see all the time, that having feelings for another person of your same-sex is wrong, is dark, impure, a sin, you name it. That would have been a really bad situation on coming out for these two, not to mention the consequences for the swen as individuals. I mean, guys and gals, would you like lgbtqa-haters making swan queen your worst nightmare to remember?
Sure, A&E are no saints, so you’re all in your sole right to be angry at them for what you consider has hurt you badly about their manipulation of the audience.
Why being called “Miss Swan” affects so much Emma, especially when it comes from Regina?
I think we could link this with the first point. Because it really bothers her! Then she mentions how Regina made her admit things and that what she’s doing is basically going to make Regina happy.
So, let me keep this straight, she came back for Killian’s life, but she’s also fighting for what she considers would reassure Regina’s happiness?
Taking what is being said in the ep about saving Killian and that her fear is a future with him, why making Regina happy on the road? Why making emphasis on telling it? Again, why does it bother her to be called Miss Swan, if supposedly, she wants to be with Killian?
Well, these are my statements/thoughts for the moment.
