Having so much fun picking color schemes for the server event, yet I'm struggling to choose between these two!
[JOIN us there!! I made many other palettes in my excitement 😆
✨ https://discord.gg/shoujosei ✨ ]
The 1st one is too symbolic, and I can feel Yuki's presence all over it , and the second screams Mafuyu, plain and simple🥲
I love both palettes 😭
And once again, it's almost July...
"Can't Say Goodbye, I'm Still Drifting With Your Echos"
Minato having a Koyuki radar in the back of his mind and instantly sensing every time she tries to leave him, oh my god, he’s so cute. “I just want you here with me” he’s becoming so needy and you can tell Koyun is really starting to like it 🥹
Narratively this is also big because she’s often alone at home so having someone constantly choose to be around her even when they don’t have to be means so much to her, so you can see her allowing herself to get caught up in the joy of it all.
“A voice would come to the chosen one. The Voice of the Four Seasons, as it was known, would call the person’s name as though chanting a curse, until eventually, they manifested their powers.”
Spring has arrived... safe and sound.
Shunkashuutou Daikousha | Ep2 | It’s a beautiful spring view. Hinagiku, you’re everywhere, aren’t you? You appear everywhere because I yearn for you.
Shunkashuutou Daikousha | Ep1 | The Dance of Spring
agents of the four seasons (2026) — 02. lingering snow
First, there’s a verbal spell. Whenever we refer to the song, we’re talking about the songs of the four seasons. Each Agent inherits one song for their corresponding season. […] Then there is the dancing spell. Dancing is a ritual honoring the Four Seasons, one that has given us power all around the world since ancient times. By combining both, they can extend their power to a wide area.
This may sound preachy, but if you’re in your teens or 20s please take care to develop the habit of speaking positively about people behind their backs. Gossip is unavoidable, and yes it does allow people to bond, and yes some people deserve to be shit talked. But I think being negative about things is literally just nature, whereas trying to be positive about things and people is a quality you have to be very intentional about . If this does not apply to you, good for you. But for most people I think it does. Im not lauding toxic positivity so much as saying that if there’s space to speak positively about someone behind their back, it’s better to take that route.
I’m in love with this sentence:
“Don't let someone ruin your peace just because they can't find theirs.”
This arc got me bawling my eyes out.
This scene😢

"Let's meet again, Yoo Joonghyuk..
constantly thinking about how similar kim dokja is to his mother. there's the shared hobby of reading of course, and then there's both their tendencies to sacrifice themselves for their loved ones' over and over. something that you don't realize about lee sookyung until much later, until you find out the truth behind what happened to kdj's father, and then when you see how much lsk does to keep kimcom safe for kdj for when he comes back from his 3-year absence
but something i don't see talked about is how they both have this ability to evoke such deep, undying loyalty in their people. kimcom would and DO rip worlds apart just to get kdj back, but take a look at the wanderers! at the way they all follow lsk's lead without question, at the way they protect her with everything they have and desperately try to save her when she's almost dying!
makes you wonder what happened during those prison days to have this group of fellow prisoners who'd die at her side without a word of complaint. sure, they follow her because she's got insight into this world and of how to clear the scenarios, but that alone wouldn't evoke such loyalty
we know she saved cho youngran's daughter - a piece of interesting backstory that is presented to us in such a sinister manner, because kdj is absolutely convinced she only did it for selfish and manipulative reasons. but this person who willingly went to prison to spare her son a terrible future, this person who would die to keep the people he loves safe - would such a person do that? and isn't it funny how kdj describes all his own actions as manipulative as well? any time he does something good, he makes sure to add how he only does it because he has plans for this person later. but how often can this self-hating man claim every good deed he does is purely manipulative before you start wondering this might not be true?
and if every good thing he does is done out of pure selfish need, as he claims oh so often, then of course the same must go for lsk! after all, if even she is a better person than him, then well... what kind of monster does that make him then?
same goes for the book lsk wrote. the underground killer is presented to us as the worst thing lsk did; we are first led to believe she sold their story for profit only - but. but who writes a book expecting it to become a bestseller? especially from prison? how popular her book would get is nothing she could've controlled or planned for
i firmly believe she wrote that book because she needed an outlet and she needed to share her experience - and honestly, good for her and good for every other woman in the same situation as her! (i will not hear otherwise, i firmly believe the existence of that book is overall a good thing - even if not for kdj himself, which of course sucks) - but i also think she might've done it to keep kdj safe. because what if someone suspects something? what if the evidence isn't quite clear and someone goes digging? what if kdj himself starts remembering who really killed his father? no, she can't have that. she must keep him safe at all costs. (which backfired but... well. she could not have known that.)
and if you think about it; isn't that EXACTLY what kdj would also do in her situation? for someone who spent the majority of his life without his mother, kdj sure grew up to become his mother's son through and through - and he doesn't even realize it
Just wanted to mention one more thing which I had thought about as another relation between Lee Sookyoung and her son.
We keep seeing this theme implied that even sacrifice can be selfish when you end up hurting those that care about you each time KDJ kills himself to achieve his end goal and I wonder who he internalized it from?
Every time he puts himself in that situation where he dies, his companions are wrecked; no matter whether they know that KDJ will come back or not and KDJ knows this. He knows that what he's doing is hurting his companions, he knows that they might end up hating him because of it but he does it anyway. Because he believes that his course of action will be the best for his companions (even if his companions think he's wrong) and he's willing to lie, manipulate and cheat to get his way. Because he knows things they do not, and some of these things he cannot share because as per his belief, it may bring unfortunate consequences. He does this because this need to protect them comes from a place of inherent love.
Keep that it in mind.
Now we look at Lee Sookyoung. A victim of domestic abuse that would do absolutely anything to save her son. She went to jail for him, she quite literally pulled a canon-divergence in KDJ's mind (and the world as far as it's concerned) that it was actually her that killed her husband and not her son who did that. She lies to him for years, doesn't speak to him at all when he comes to visit because she's afraid she might spill the details and she knows this is hurting KDJ. She knows that her son will most likely end up hating her forever and it is a consequence she is willing to take because it means that on a larger scale, she believes that her son will remain safe. She was willing to become the object of hate and revulsion in the eyes of her son that she so dearly loved, all to keep him safe. Even if it ate her up inside. And why does she do it?
Because it comes from a place of inherent love.
Personally I believe that she takes care of KimCom because she knows that in the end it'll have to be KimCom who would take care of her son. Especially to the novel characters because technically, they raised her child when she could not be there.
Then we come to the: "I'm just a mother who ran away" part.
She feels enormous amounts of guilt for leaving KDJ in that state but not once does she regret it. She knows that what she's done is horribly wrong, that perhaps she has become a horrible person for leaving her son to face the world alone but she doesn't regret it one bit because she knows things KDJ does not. She knows that the other option could be so much worse. So much potential for a collapse:
If she left, how would she take care of both her son and herself all alone?
Even if she does get remarried, her new husband might love and accept her but would he love her son?
What about Kim Dokja? He's too young to take the blame for killing his father, he only did what was necessary.
How would people treat my son because I left my husband?
And more. It's a pipeline spiral.
It all centers around her son. What about her son? What might happen to him? Would he be okay? In her eyes, all of this would be potentially worse for KDJ. Of course, she could be horribly wrong. By doing all that, she might have just doomed KDJ to a worse fate but she does not know. And losing KDJ was a risk she was unwilling to take.
And yes, it was a bad fate for KDJ. He ended up attempting suicide after all but how was LSK to know? She isn't omniscient. Sometimes, the bad option is the only option left. It's the exact same as KDJ deciding to remain on the train. Somewhere deep down he knows his companions will figure it out, he knows they'll try to save him. But this KimCom he knows is fundamentally changed due to his presence, KDJ is not omniscient. How was he to know that YJH would be willing to spend an indefinite amount of time roaming worldlines just for the slightest chance to get him back. How was he to know that HSY would forever doom the world again and again just for the chance that he would breathe the next day? How was he to know that they would try to save him no matter the cost?
And still, there are more similarities. Even after the worst of the Devourer of Dreams Arc is over and KDJ and LSK meet in the recovery tent, she still does not say anything. She knows they have come too far for that now. The same way KDJ keeps sacrificing himself even after he tells KimCom about the novel and sees how much everyone hurts every single time they lose him. Because he's too far in to change it.
It's in their nature. Selfish sacrifice that comes from a place of love. And that's probably why they evoke such undying loyalty from people. KDJ from KimCom and LSK from her Wanderers.
Not to mention that KDJ knows deep down that he is just like his mother. He 'hates' her because he 'hates' himself. Because how could he not? If he himself is a selfish monster then what was the person that raised his fundamentals? I put hate within quotes because KDJ doesn't actually hate his mother, it is precisely because he loves her so much that he feels so hurt. And all that stuff boiling inside him became the basis for his self-hatred, the same way LSK deeply hated herself for making her son go through that.
