I’m looking at your responses to the “movies for grownups” post, and I’d like to ask for clarification: is one of the qualifiers “movies that don’t have completely tasteless jokes”? Or is tastelessness a separate issue from whether it’s “for grownups-ups” or not?

nah, tastelessness is its own thing which i contend with on a case by case basis. all jokes aside, i think what im really asking for is “movies that at no point have to spend time explaining things on a child’s level” or alternatively “movies that require experiences with adult life to understand as a story”. i kinda like tasteless sometimes. i love garbage! im a John Waters lover! i also love a lot of crappy adult comedies that deal in otherwise juvenile humor, many of which are definitely lacking in taste
