Hi everyone! And also good bye everyone!

After much deliberation I have decided to part ways with the Tumblr community. As you may now notice, this blog has changed from mesokari to meso-ghost. This account will also be inactive until further notice.

I’m now using the URL Mesokari for an art-only account. If you'd like to see my artwork-- past, present, and future-- please take a look over there!

I will not be publicly responding to messages on that account, as I want to keep it clean to use as a pseudo-portfolio. So instead, if you’d like to keep in touch feel free to hit me up on Twitter.

I’m sorry I couldn’t keep Tumblr as a priority in my life, but I’m sure we’ll meet again on other corners of the internet. Thank you all for following me up until now! Stay well everyone!

Hello, it’s been a while but I’m finally back!

Sort of.

I’m active on twitter but it’s not a great platform for posting artwork, so I was thinking of reviving this acc just for posting art. Maybe. I haven’t really decided what to do yet haha.

But I definitely will be doing some housekeeping. Deleting posts here, unfollowing blogs there. If we’ve at least spoken a few times before, don’t worry, you’re safe. I’m sure this won’t really affect anyone anyway.

Unfortunately, I’m not really here to stay. I busted my laptop screen a few weeks ago and I haven’t been able to fix it since. Now I only have a painfully slow tablet to use for my internet activities. So I’m going to be inactive here until further notice…

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to unfollow me without me noticing, now’s your chance haha. I don’t know when I’ll be back so I wouldn’t blame you. I’ll always be around on twitter though (also @mesokari) so if you need to you can always contact me that way.

I’m a firefighter and you live near the station I work at and we talk/flirt with each other a lot. One day me and my team get called to put out a fire and it’s your home ablaze. You don’t make it out.

We live in a futuristic era where you’re a scientist and I’m you assistant. An experiment goes horribly wrong resulting in my death. You try to put my brain in a robot and it works but it’s not the same.

I’m you’re guardian angel who’s been breaking the rules and keeping you alive longer than you should be and as punishment I have to watch you die.

You’re a civilian and I’m a knight. We fall in love and are the cutesy couple ever. A enemy kingdom attacks our kingdom and in the heat of a battle you’re kidnapped (or killed) right in front of me while I’m unable to do anything about it.

I’m in a gang and you’re too precious for this world but you still hang out with me. One day my gang activity gets your hurt so I completely cut off all ties to keep you safe.

I’m a vampire that has a moment of weakness when you’re near by and it doesn’t end well.

You’re secretly a spy and to keep me safe when things go downhill you have to break up with me and you do it as harshly as possible so I don’t try and follow you (optional: I do follow and your worst fear comes true)

You would always randomly pull me up to dance or just gently hold me while swaying but now I’m standing here alone (up to you why they are alone)

This is an animated movie about Bilal, an Ethiopian ex-slave who became one of the Prophet Muhammad’s closest companions. Really impressed by the production value and the well-cut trailer. Some nice attention to lighting and composition. One to keep an eye out for.

(Saladin Ahmed, from whom I found this, supposes from his knowledge of Bilal’s story that the movie ends with him meeting Muhammad)

Majora’s Mask is my favorite Zelda game. On this run through on the 3DS, all the little motifs and the themes had an even stronger impact. It’s immensely satisfying, yet very lonely as an adventure; it’s about finding the heart to care about these strangers even though they may never remember what you did for them. Link’s personal journey really did feel like a personal journey!

OKAY SO BEFORE YOU SEND ANY MONEY FOR THAT AWESOME COMMISSION YOU WANT TO BUY FROM THAT AWESOME ARTIST. PLEASE STOP AND READ THIS.

Paypal changed the look of how you will fill out information and send money. Thus, you need to be super careful. Don’t go all willy nilly through and be like “Yeah yeah yeah send” you need to stop when you see this screen right away.

Before you proceed, you will first notice one major thing: your address is showing. What you need to do if you are ordering a DIGITAL WORK (aka, it is being sent to you via the interwebz) is you need to click on your address and there around be a drop down menu of 3 (or more) options:

+ Add a new shipping address

Be sure to select “No address needed”, it is very important that you do. If you leave your address in there, Paypal will assume that you are to receive a physical package. A physical package which needs proof that exists physically. Paypal will want the artist to provide shipping labels and tracking info on said package. This is bad, very, very bad. Artists can get in trouble if they cannot provide these things.

Please, if an artist asks to send you back your money so that you can send it again correctly, do not be offended. You are paying them to do your commission, how can they do your commission with no money?

And in case the buyer does do this, there is a work around. All you have to do is click on the transaction and go to “edit tracking info” at the bottom.

Then go to order status and set to “Processed/Service Rendered.”

This will let paypal know that the order was a digital good, and no shipping was required.

You just have to check your incoming payments and make sure to do this if this does happen. Cause you aren’t notified otherwise. And you really only get in trouble if left unnoticed.
