Daily reminder!
Working on something BIG for my future!
Here’s to everyone who was doing better, but has hit a rough period. It’s okay. You will be okay, you just gotta hang in there. Steps backs happen, and you are not going backwards. You still have your strenght and all that you have learned that can help you get back on your feet, and better days will reach you, right now you just gotta hang on and wait for the storm to pass enough for you to feel like you can get up and move forwards. 🌸
Exclusionists and transmeds yelling about “But what if everyone starts pretending to be queer for attention!” make no sense. I don’t even mean the implications that questioning is bad and people exploring their gender is bad and everyone who changes labels is faking and all of that.
Like I don’t know about you, but I prefer this new future where being queer is seen as something cool and positive. As opposed to the present where being queer is punishable by death, where we’re being actively hatecrimed, where we could lose our house or job or family for existing.
y’all gon criticize people for showing symptoms of a personality disorder rather than discussing the trauma that caused us to even develop it
Instead of saying how people with personality disorders are "pure and perfect" or saying that we're "irredeemably evil", how about you do not attach moral judgements to our mental illnesses.
We are simply people. Please treat us as such.
Things that don’t make you a bad person:
Displaying “scary” symptoms of mental illness
Being diagnosed with multiple disorders
Having one or various personality disorders
Being diagnosed with NPD, BPD, or ASPD
Having very low empathy, or no empathy
Having symptoms that cause anger, emptiness, or paranoia
Having triggers or “strange” personal boundaries
Needing extra help or accommodations
Having intrusive thoughts about upsetting or scary topics
Don't self-isolate because you feel too awkward, anxious or afraid that you will bother others. You deserve to have friends and to be loved. Don't give up on being social, no matter how nerve wrecking it might get, with practice it will get easier to socialize.
You can apologize for how you handle your feelings, but you don't need to apologize for feeling them.
There is nothing wrong with a genuine emotional experience.
self-love begins when you realize that you, too, deserve to be happy :)
