I don’t know if anyone has ever watched code lyoko before but that’s what Memories of Alhambra is reminding me of and this is how I’m gonna correlate the two.

Seju is jeremie in this case since he’s super smart and built this game (whereas jeremie discovers the supercomputer, he’s the one that guides the others). XANA can be either hyung seok (or he can also be William once xana possessed him aka a puppet) XANA can be the Marcos we have been hearing about. Or shit even hyung seok’s father. Idek something fishy about that man. Emma is a cpu in the game so she can be Aelita(before she became human again). Jinwoo is ofc Ulrich and if Hee joo joins the game then she will be Yumi. Since hyung seok is dead, it’s like he went into the digital sea (the digital void) so all that’s left is his physical body. Whereas in Code Lyoko, if i remember correctly, you’ll be gone forever if you fall in the digital sea. And the only way to come back to earth after being in the virtual world is to devirtualize, which seems like jinwoo and seju can’t do. I’m just saying whatever right now but that’s what this drama is reminding me of and Idek but I love it. I know I’m probably waaaaay off but 😩🤧

LOONA Debut Mini Album + +

LOONA have finally, FINALLY made their debut and I’m so happy the time has finally come. I’ve been following this group since Heejin was debuted back in 2016 so I’ve been ready. 

I’m an honest person though, I have to say Hi High isn’t my favorite song. It’s rather messy when you listen the first few times and that pitch! The girls sound very shrill in parts and I just wish they would’ve toned it down just a little. The MV was beautiful, we see where the budget that wasn’t used on album packaging went. If only there weren’t so many unnecessary up the skirt shots and butt shots. LOONA mvs have always had this problem but this one just had so many it was hard to ignore. favOriTe isn’t my fav song either but I like the tone of it more than Hi High. Fav was first introduced in the concert teaser and I thought it was amazing and I was ready for the full song. I legit wished it wasn’t just an intro or something. But then I got the full song and it just... idk drags a bit. The tongue roll is the most exciting thing in the instrumental and meh. But if I had to pick I would’ve made this the title. The last three songs on this mini 열기, Perfect Love and Stylish were my favorite tracks on the mini. 열기 has a great beat, some of the notes are once again too high and shrill but this is not as bad. Perfect Love is just cute, catchy. Stylish has a great beat but I don’t really love the lyrics and vocals as much over it. 

Overall, once I get my albums and I hear the songs more I’m sure I’ll grow to love/overlook the things I don’t like now. I just wanted to say my initial feelings now. The debut mini is okay I wouldn't say it’s the best especially when looking back to some of those predebut songs but it’s okay. 3/5 stars.

Citi Field Tickets

Honestly, this is just going to be a rant. I appreicate how active the Citi Field team has been, but at the hour before the tickets went on sale and so many of us were stuck on how did the waiting room looked like, they were MIA until 3:30 where they showed us how the waiting room were supposed to look like, but that already made it too wait for others like me who weren’t checking twitter since I wanted to be focused. 

It was overall a stressful experience since I didn’t manage to get tickets. It was sold out after I finally got through (almost an hour later), yet I would see people listing them on vividseats and stubhub without a problem and it just pisses me tf off. If you weren’t thinking about going to the damn concert, don’t bother. It’s annoying and honestly fuck it all. 

I’ll be having a ver 3 lightstick but no concert to go and swing it at.

August K-Drama

Witch’s Love

The main characters are played by Yoon So Hee and Hyun Woo. Also in this cast are Vixx’s Hongbin,Kim Young Ok and Go Soo Hee.  This drama airs every Wednesdays and Thursdays and so far are 8 episodes in. To not spoil too much, this drama deals three witches (played by so hee, young ok and soo hee) who run a very successful yet lowkey rice soup restaurant. No one knows that theyre witches and they work very hard to ensure that their secret is kept a secret. Unlike Hyun woo’s character comes along. He is a chaebol who will become the new owner of the rice soup restaurant, whether the witches like it or not. He has experienced a very traumatic situation and he feels like the rice soup restaurant will answer the questions that he has been asking since he was a kid. 

I’m going to be honest, the main reason why I watched this was for my girl so hee. I love her and I want to watch all of her dramas whenever she is in one, so this was no exception. I  also love the whole witches concept since I like things like that. I think this would’ve been perfect if it started airing in October for the Halloween season. It’s really cute imo. 

Would people enjoy this drama? I don’t see why not. It’s a silly drama yet good drama.  8 episodes in and there are a lot of enjoyable moments. I love the relationships between the witches.  If you’re on the fence about watching this drama due to what you may have read, I  think it’s always best to give any dramas at least 3 episodes to see if you would enjoy it. That being said, I personally like this drama since it has a cast that I like with a concept that I like and one amazing ost song so far, which I will get to later cause damn that song.  The only issue I’ve seen people commenting on (though, I do not really look at the comments cause it’s not really gonna change my opinion on a drama). is some people wishing Hongbin’s character was the main character and honestly, I quite like the main lead. I can understand why he is the way that he is and so far, he has a valid reason to be how he is. He is mature and wise as a character, but he does have his silly moments, but I love to see how he learns to be more open with so hee’s character and how they’re both slowly changing each other for the better.  

But anyways, besides Hongbin being so good looking, his character has not done anything to really wow or make me say wow I ship these two together at all. So hee’s character really just treats him like a lil kid. Hongbin is just there smiling and is it like, okay we saw your smile already so many times, we get it. You have a nice smile, what else? Idk but so far, I find his character on the more annoying side so yall never catch me rooting for him here. 

Now on to the OST, CAN I JUST SAY IVE BEEN STALKING ITUNES TO SEE IF ITS EVER GONNA POP UP. I LEGIT TRIED EVERYTHING TO FIND IT ON ITUNES BUT NO LUCK. IF YOU KNOW HOW TO GET IT ON ITUNES PLEASE LET ME KNOW. 

I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONGGGGG

This song is by Gowoon of Berry Good. One of the best ost songs that I’ve heard in awhile. I keep on repeating it. It’s beautiful and honestly, anytime it pops up it just makes me even more excited.

The only downside for this drama for me has been the wait time for the subs to be uploaded on other websites, but beggers cant be choosers so gotta make due with what I have, but so far, I’m honestly enjoying this drama so much and Im seriously thinking about buying the ost disc if they release one.

March K-Dramas:

That Man Oh Soo & The Great Seducer 

That Man Oh Soo / Evergreen: The main characters are played by Kim So Eun and CNBLUE’s Lee Jong Hyun. This drama airs every Mondays and Tuesdays and so far are 4 episodes in. To not spoil too much, this drama deals with oh soo ( Lee Jong Hyun’s character) whose family for a few decades have been playing the role of cupids with the help of a magical tree and some mysterious pollen that they put inside people’s coffees ( they own a cafe) to help with their love lives. However, after an incident, Oh Soo instead of helping  Yoo Ri’s (Kim So Eun’s character) love life, it ends with her boyfriend breaking up with her and things go downhill from there. Oh Soo doesn’t really interact with people besides his grandfather and cousin/brother, so he kinda butts heads with Yoo Ri. But Oh soo is not just some barista and cafe owner, nope.  There’s much more to know about him. 

So far, I’m really liking this drama. It’s going well paced and giving us enough time and scenes were we can learn more about our main characters and still have time to care about the new characters that are being introduced. This seems like a drama that will start off lighthearted but have some really sad moments as we dig deeper into oh soo’s and yoo ri’s lives. The OST so far for this drama has been really unique. I started this drama once I saw that Kim So Eun would play the lead. She’s one of my favorite actresses so I hope this will be a really good drama from start to finish. 

The Great Seducer | Tempted : This drama starts Red Velvet’s Joy, Woo Do hwan, Kim Min Jae and Moon Ga Young.  This drama also airs every Mondays and Tuesdays. There are currently 4 episodes out ( 2 really because each episode is 30 minutes long and we get 2 episodes monday and 2 tuesday) 

This drama is about rich three friends Si Hyun ( do hwan) , Soo Ji ( ga young) and Se Joo ( min jae)  who are in their early 20s (just graduated high school) whose lives all seem problem free but are each fighting their own inner demons. They decide to toy with Tae Hee ( Joy) and get her to fall in love with Si Hyun so he can later break her heart. For reasons that will be explained in episodes 3-4. 

My thoughts on this drama is so far that’s its interesting. The first 4 episodes really focused on the parents and the three friends featuring tae hee and her best friend. The reason why si hyun is gonna try to seduce tae hee is so dumb imo and petty for no reason whatsoever. Though the three friends have their own inner demons and aren’t good people at all, Soo Ji’s character annoys me the most after finding out why si hyun will try to seduce tae hee. I find her the puppet master of si hyun and se joo, though at the end, they are all equally aint shit. Soo Ji is a character that will be really toxic unless a miracle happens. 

I don’t care much about the parents they were shown too much and nothing was ever really explained. I’m so far only curious about Tae Hee’s mom and why their relationship is like that. Also Si hyun’s father and why he said what he said to si hyun. 

I saw that some people felt disappointed with this drama and honestly, nothing much has happened for me to really form an opinion besides what I said about soo ji. Joy has been barely seen so I can’t say much about her yet. But I did start this drama once I heard that joy and do hwan were gonna be the leads, so hopefully this drama will be a good one.
