blowing a tuft of hair that had fallen loose from her ponytail from her face, angela frowns, bringing the bird cupped in her hands closer to her face to better examine its injured wing. she could bring men back from the brink of death, but she can't pinpoint what the injury beneath a few feathers are. nice one, angela.

"Need some help?" Anette snickered, walking over and looking over Angela's shoulder to examine the bird.

"Looks like a broken wing, see how it's drooping? The wing can't be tucked in like normal due to a broken bone." She dug through her coat pocket for a roll of medical tape.

"If you keep the bird steady I can wrap the wing so it heals properly."

Open Starter (Demon Infused AU)

Ray kept a low profile as he walked through the dark streets of the city, pulling the hood of his jacket further over his face. The less visible he was, the less people would notice him.

The less people that noticed him, the less likely…it…was to try to act with his body.

He nervously tugged at his right sleeve, making sure it was fully covering his arm. The large amount of markings and symbols that covered his arm from wrist to shoulder was something he would rather not have other people see. Or would rather not see himself. They were a remnant of the cult he had escaped from. A remnant of the life he was tricked into living, until he’d had his eyes opened to what they were really like.

A remnant of what was in his body.

Slinking into the entrance of a nearby bar, Ray quietly walked past the few people inside, ignoring the small whisper building up in his mind as he found a seat in one of the more secluded, darker corners of the bar.

"Well then here, have a drink on me. You look like you could use one." She slid the glass over to him while leaning closer. She spoke softly so only he could hear.

"I know you're not completely human. You sound like you don't mean any trouble but you should know this bar is frequented by a werewolf pack. If you don't want to be bothered when you leave then stick with me, I'll get you safely to where you're staying tonight."

As if on cue said pack walked into the bar. She knew it was a matter of time before they noticed his scent but knew they'd leave him alone as long as she stayed with him. A few men looked over in their direction but they moved along as soon as she gave them a glare and a warning growl.

"Yeah you definitely need some sleep. Come on." Anette gently shook her shoulder and moved to help her stand up.

"you're going to give yourself back problems if you sleep at a desk. Trust me, I would know." She'd carry her to the nearest bed or couch if she had to. As long as she could probably lay down and sleep Anette would be happy.

The doctor groaned with annoyance as she was shook awake again. A groggy but aware glare was pointed towards Anette but Hinoka eventually relented. Muttering in Japanese that she had just been ‘resting her eyes’.  “Alright, alright, my room is in the barracks....” The redheaded doctor yawned, motioning for Anette to help her, “Just, keep poking me forward because I will fall asleep standing up. It is not beyond me to do so.”

While Anette didn't know much Japanese she replied "stubborn" to Hinoka's comments in Danish. She had to admit, it was funny not being the one prodded to go to bed like her assistants would do to her.

"This is why I have a couch in my office. I'd fall asleep in the middle of the hallway if I had to walk to the barracks." Anette snickered, nudging Hinoka forward. "You know if you can stay awake long enough to point out your bed I could just carry you."

Anette smiled lightly at Hanzo and the napping kitten. It wasn't the first time that she had seen someone torn about keeping a pet. Her clinic had a shelter attached to it and whenever someone brought in a stray she would keep them for a few days in case the person returned to adopt the animal before putting them up for adoption.

"She looks attached to you. I can imagine both of you being upset if you decide not to keep her." She sat down across from him, placing two cups of tea down.

"During my check-up for her I couldn't find an identification chip so she's definitely a stray. I know you still keep telling yourself you can't keep her but I think it'll be best for both of you if you keep her."
