Pacing my room so much right now, I was meant to do stuff but augh I’m inflicted with SUCH an angsty/comfort fic idea because of this song.

Absolutely love the Steven Universe sound track and am still a sucker for Yellow and Blue Diamond after all these years... I just can’t help but see this Post MWIII of Aethena and Price going back and forth.

Price being Blue and Aethena being Yellow, based on Price’s reactions from the original games to Soap’s death. Price is regretting everything thag lead to it, especially when he didn’t let MacTavish pull the trigger, it’s ingrained in his mind and after Simon goes to bed he’s just sitting in Soap’s barracks, no one can bring themselves to clean it and it’s been months. Aethena misses him too, he was like a son to them, but they also know what they have to do — find Makarov — and due to some very bad compartmentalisation, they don’t find themselves allowed to be hurt and wallow (and usually emphasize greatly that other people should).

Though, it becomes a bit of an argument about how they know Price is hurting and that they care for Price but that he can’t sit here and wallow and he needs to stand up and lead them to take down Makarov (Aethena was only recently promoted to Captain, and even if they tried they know they aren’t nearly as skilled or competent as Price in this position.).

I want to get Ghost really involved in this as well but right now this is just yap, but I’ll reblog this with a link if I write and post it.
