And sure, it's just your garden variety tame tumblr Antisemitism, I block them by the dozen, but what really takes the 🍰 is that OP was talking about an actor playing a character from the 18th century called Israel! Fucking Israel.

How the hell do you think this name exists? It comes from the Tanach, the Jewish Holy Book, talking about the history and legends of Jews in - guess where? - Israel! Judea! Jerusalem! Zion!

The name Israel is everywhere. It transcends religions, and cultures, and physical borders, and centuries.

Not a single person in history was ever named P*lestine.
