Dear 21st century: before Lady Gaga, there was Missing Persons withĀ Dale Bozzio.
Post-game prayer meeting? Good offense...Tennessee Titans, Bible belt...
The last time I was at Soldier Field was the Grateful Dead's last show with Jerry Garcia.
Great seats at pretty much the 50 yard line. And I'm pretty clueless about the rules and penalties.
First Bears game I've ever been to in my half-century-long life. Amazing energy here and great seats! @chicagobears
Northside Sox fan watching the Cubs. Great seats (free tix).
Perfect view of the #WhiteSox game
Youth vs Growth
My dad said when youāre younger you worry if people will like you when you walk into a room. But when you get older, you worry if youāll find someone to like in the crowd. Donāt know if he originated that idea, but he was right.
Coming down
It took a while, but I think Iāve finally adjusted to not being busy for the first time in several weeks. I was working at least 50 hours, even up to 70 hours a week at several places, in addition to having some kind of a social life in between and doing homework for a class. Then the activity decreased to resemble a relatively regular work week (though Iām still working odd hours and days). I felt like Iād been hit by an energy-zapping entity as I faced downtime and unscheduled time, even though Iāve still had work and chores to get done. But the relative inactivity after several commitments over a period of a couple months was jarring, and I wondered what was wrong. I felt down and depleted and wondered if Iād get over it, but what was happening was that I was adjusting to what Iād had before, though I hadnāt remembered the sensation. After watching āThe September Issueā (excellent documentary) and vegging for a bit, I realized that I had to change gears and accept the slower lane that I was now in. So Iāve resumed work and donāt feel out-of-sorts or baffled by the new situation. Iām sure Iāll be super-busy again, but wow, what a ride that I got myself off of, from which I have to adjust to being on the ground again. Basically, from over-stimulation to a slower lifestyle.

Love this show...itās on NHK and I think it might be online.
Mitsuwa fun
Wow, Mitsuwa has gotten an upgrade. Remodeled with new things and places to eat. Admittedly, I just stood by the bentos to eavesdrop on two guys who were speaking Japanese because I rarely hear Japanese in Chicago. Wonder if LA or other parts of the west have more native speakers.
Tove Lo just sang two songs...acoustic style "Habits" then "He's Gone." Great singer and seems to keep it real. She lives in LA now (from Sweden).
Acoustic version of "Habits" by Tove Lo...rare @b96chicago
Lady GaGa - Alejandro Official Album Version
Love this song...has the Madonna vibe as well
