on the other hand marcy is masc in a way that she doesn’t fully acknowledge or is truly aware of until like maybe her early 20s (I’m probably Something but I have a job and Things So Many Things To Process so I don’t really care about that rn) which was nurtured by debbies WOKE parenting and Nolan’s viltrumite customs which means he doesn’t care.

genderbent eve maintains nearly all femininity and while eve’s father in this universe is endlessly supportive of the idea of having a son who’s a superhero, which was such a relief since eve was playing with dolls and putting on his moms makeup as a kid, when he finds out eve goes flying around in a tight pink suit going by his middle name it’s the worse double edge sword of his bigot life. when he finds out eve’s dating marcy who is the butchest bisexual woman alive the dinner scene doesn’t even happen.

I can give the community 1 freaked out mark headcanon. Shame (18+) under the cut.

in the show him and eve have boring usual heterosexual sex which is like ok whatever. but in an idealized world mark is so over burdened by the weight of the last 2 years and the loss of control he fears he, slowly, recreates his headspace in the bedroom through a lowkey , softer, dom/sub dynamic to replay this constant feeling of helplessness but with the knowledge that ultimately he is in control of what happens to him. Or he could just not be doing this and uses sex as an outlet and distraction + needing to feel close to eve (in this case literally) because he knows he could lose her at any time.

and a follow up to the last post. what the language sounds, the dialect directly between the viltrumites, is so Rigid and yet filled with so much figurative speech, words with zero direct translations, when the GDA actually has to use the translators they developed after years of bugging the graysons house there’s gaps even they can’t fill. bc Nolan wasn’t doing all that when teaching mark how to say hello

i headcanon that there used to be a constant language barrier between most planets but the viltrumites, along with their conquering, made their language the only allowed speech of the populations they took over. and with the species that recovered like Allen’s, over the years they had already lost so much culture and texts, added on that they now had a common language with other refugees and surviving allies, that their mother tongue eventually became secondary. and this isn’t uncommon.
