To celebrate Inter Faith Week in 2020, the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy at Goldsmiths is Collaborating with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team with a series of video shorts from students, staff and members of local religious communties, focusing on talking about a religious artefact, or how faith makes a difference to them.

Those who missed the opportunity to film a short clip of why faith matters to them during IFW, are welcome to email their short 1-3 minute video to [email protected]. We will add them to this collection as an ongoing project.

Inter Faith Week 2020

Inter Faith Week (IFW) takes place in November every year. In 2020, IFW will take place from Sunday 8 – Sunday 15 November.

IFW aims to highlight the positive work done by local faith communities and inter faith groups and organisations. It encourages building good relationships and active working partnerships between people of different faiths and beliefs across the UK. It is also a time to increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs.  

IFW provides an entry point to open inter faith dialogue and activity up to a wider audience, so that more people are made aware of the importance of Inter Faith work and are able to participate in it.

IFW also helps to increase awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society
