@slayerkitty @respectthepetty Have you seen they are ditching the Chains of Heart special?

Ohhhhkaaaaay. *deep breaths*
It's Chains of Heart finale discussion time.
1. So Din/Lue's response to hearing Sai has been kidnapped is to go visit his mother and ask to eat? What? How about meeting up with your crowd of helpers and you know, GET YOUR SISTER BACK? While I appreciate the emotion of the scene with his mom and her realization after the fact, it was such a wtaf moment because he knew Sai was taken and was doing nothing.
2. Still a little unsure if Ken knew Din was Lue the night before, cause it does seem that Hin's insistence that Din is Lue broke his brain a little but if he didn't know, I needed more of a reaction.
3. How did Din/Lue not get shot in the shootout? Seriously, how? Everyone shoots like Stormtroopers, I guess.
4. I enjoyed the fight with the knife guy. That was good.
5. I get that Ingpha is basically evil, but I figured he was just into the illegal lumber trade and maybe some drug running. I did not anticipate human and/or organ trafficking, but I guess you gotta diversify when you're evil.
6. I enjoyed the Din/Lue and Ingpha confrontation; THE GLOVES WERE OFF! However, the editing there was so weird. For a show as cinematic as this one, I needed more there. Ingpha gets shot and then we cut to him in the river and where the fuck does Sai go?! We does see her in the last shot, but how did she get on the rock there? She's still tied and blindfolded. What? It kinda took me out of the scene.
7. I guess I don't understand why they didn't rally to cover up Din/Lue's part in Ingpha's murder. Sai was blindfolded, she don't know. Ken can just lie? So can Dr Fiance? I just??
8. THAT'S IT? THAT'S HOW IT ENDS? NO CONVERSATION, EXPLANATION, DIN JUST DISAPPEARS? (Obviously, Sai implies Din will be back for her wedding, but that was just not enough for me)
9. WHERE IS LUE'S KID? (What is "question we'll never have the answer to, Alex")
I don't know. I wanted more from this episode (and the show in general). Do we think the vaguely open ending could imply a push for a season 2?
Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the insanity and confusion that is this show. It was very, very pretty to look at, and Ken's shrine to Din is possibly only second to the shrine from Secret Crush on You. The bones of something really brilliant are here, just not quite what I was hoping for.

1. Yeah I was like… oh? Fuelling yourself for the fight?! Maybe he knew it was going down and wanted to see his Mum again incase he didn’t make it?
2. I wondered this too as he looked a bit dazed and confused. But maybe he was shocked to find him gone and a bunch of people banging down his door calling for Din, like all of a sudden they are not even trying to pretend or keep it a secret.
3. This was laughable. Especially when they came from both sides and he had no cover from the second group.
7. Exactly. They pulled off all the fake death/ plastic surgery debacle and couldn’t find a way to cover this up? They could at least have claimed self defence. He was beaten up a lot. There were no hostile witnesses only his family and Ken. WHY NOT LIE?!?! This bit made the least sense to me.
8. Poor Ken must still have a LOT of questions. You find out the man you loved isn’t dead but is in fact the dude who came out of nowhere and has been stalking your every move for the last however long. You bonk. He leaves. You chase after him and he kills a bunch of baddies and then runs? You don’t even get to ask one question? And where did he run to that Ken couldn’t follow him seeing as he was standing right there? And Ken wouldn’t try to find him? At all? Maybe THIS is the part that makes the least sense. Why would he give up on him now?
I think the phone call about the wedding was meant to tell us they will meet again. But if I was Ken I would be more than a little mad.
Unless he knows. The voiceover said Peter Lue was on murder charges and couldn’t be found? Maybe he knows that Din is getting all that surgery reversed and will be back?
Maybe I’m just frantically trying to make myself feel better 🤣💔😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Oh and 9. Total plot hole.
I loved this show but this was a rubbish ending. I sat like a fool all through the credits waiting for another final scene. Was so sure there would be a Vegas/ Pete type scene at the end of the wedding 🤡
@respectthepetty
I - what?!
Sorry, I meant… WHAT??!!
I’m assuming iQIYI just forgot to add the after credits scene which was Ken turning up at Sai’s wedding to see that they have turned Lue back into Din and everyone lived happily ever the f*ck after.
See… my man Poppy coming in at the 11th hour with a plot twist!
Is next week the last one? I can’t cope with that. I need this show to go on FOREVER!
I know I made out like I wasn’t going to watch any more of this show but I did. Cute baby Max look-a-like sucked me in.
The casting is killing me though. I know it’s probably not made by anyone involved in Unforgotten Night, BUT.
Come on.
In UN we had a guy in his 20s playing a 36 year old. Nobody was buying that. Now they have this guy playing the same character and he must be AT LEAST in his late 40s. Also not buying that.
Why can’t they just find someone who looks the age he is meant to be??!!
I didn’t hate this show. BUT
I am already done with the “Where’s Mark/Vee?” jokes.
I haven’t read up on why they aren’t in it. Maybe the budget couldn’t stretch. Maybe Yin/ War weren’t interested. A recast would have been less annoying than the prospect of this continuing all series.
Please let that be it 🙏🏻
Could the guy in black be the Dad?
Or is it Poppy? He’s not very relevant to anything at the moment. Surely he’s a big plot twist waiting to happen?
Whoever it is might be the person who helped Din escape and hide. That could explain the necklace. That’s if we are sticking with the theory that Lue is Din.
I don’t think I even believe anything I’m saying anymore 🤣
How clever do we think the show is?
I’ve just been reading some wild and wonderful theories on Twitter. I haven’t had this much fun with wacky ideas since the days of Animal Kingdom.
Someone suggested maybe Peter is actually the big bad boss and he’s sticking close to Ken to lure Din out. He appears around the same time the “body” is found. So maybe motorcycle guy WAS Din. If so that could open a whole world of possibilities. Ken must have known it was him. Is he somehow playing along with something or someone? Maybe the whole Ken and Lue endgame is a giant red herring and it’s going to be Din.
OR (and hear me out on this one). Din is the overall bad guy. Maybe the scary glass eyed cop was shooting him because he was actually the villain. Who has a glass eye with a scar through it?! Surely him being the bad guy was too obvs. Is it a fake out? Would play into his family and friends being super shifty.
Or you know, Lue is Din, there’s some massive suspension of belief around surgery and none of us are surprised.
Okay…. was the other dudes camera and Din pretended it was his? Other dude could be the one who helped him escape and change his entire bodily appearance including his height with no visible scars. Apart from whatever the deal is with his hands.*
How has Ken spent this much time with him and not questioned the gloves?
*Am still not 100% on this. But Twitter seems to think that reveal is coming next episode 🤷♀️
Did anyone watch? I thought it was cute. Feels low budget production wise but the chemistry was there. I will keep watching!
Positive things about Love Syndrome… the guy who plays Day looks like a baby Max.
The end.
So I’m trying desperately to love this show. The cinematography is gorgeous and so are the cast *ahem*
But … what is actually happening?
Who are all these people? Where are all these places they’re at? Who’s mum is that? Din’s? Hin is Din’s brother? Guess the names make sense, but I totally missed that fact.
Why is Ken not finding Lue creepy and stalkerish? My man is literally everywhere he goes. Admittedly he always saves his ass but is he not finding it weird? At all?
Who is the biker dude? That felt like a reveal and I was like 🤷♀️ Is it the guy on the cliff who shot them? He seemed to be warning Ken off rather than trying to kill him, and whoever shot them on the cliff may have actually saved them by shooting them first?
Are we meant to be completely lost or are things getting lost in translation with the subs? Or am I just dense (this is a realistic possibility)?
I’m already confused. Is this new guy Din but with a new face?
The subs were not the best (not complaining really, at least there were subs!). I feel like I missed some stuff though
All these insane Build supporters on Twitter and Instagram need to get a grip on themselves.
I’m making no judgement either way until the truth comes out and have no other opinions on it.
But all this 16-1 = 0 nonsense is so disrespectful to the other 15 who are still working hard. It’s annoying me now.
If you wanna leave the fandom, go. If you hate BOC then unfollow. Don’t stick around and be horrible to the other actors who have nothing to do with the situation.
Rant over.
So in the preview Palm hands Neung a shopping bag.
Maybe he bought him the basketball shoes as an apology but he refuses them?
💔
BETWEEN US Episode 7
I feel like either the English subtitles were SO bad that I missed a bunch of stuff because I had zero clue what anyone was talking about, OR they left some stuff hanging.
Ai’s mum? What’s going on there? She just gets away with it all?
Her claim that Ai is not Sibs son. Was that squashed or is it still out there?
Having all those side couples in the credits whilst they had 30 secs of screen time between them is hilarious. I thought the one guy who said he was leaving was faking it due to commitment phobia or something and would pop back up. Guess not.
I’m not mad about that last one. I enjoyed watching 45 mins of absolutely nothing each week. It’s been very therapeutic. And also I mostly had no idea what was happening so ran with my own version of what they were saying. That was nice.
