OH MY *TACKLE HUGS* THANK YOUU
Lydia smiled lightly at the puppy and ran her hand over his head and down his neck and back after he was pulled back up onto the bed. She didn’t care much for dogs, but he was good and kept Mia company. As long as she liked him that was all that mattered. While her hand moved over the animal’s fur she looked around the room and the books spread out on Mia’s bed. She couldn’t help but smile.
"This is one of my favorites…" She commented while reaching out to pick up Gone With The Wind from the pile.
She looked over the cover then the back before flipping it open to see what condition the book was in. She might just borrow it from Mia and re-read it again. That was if Mia didn’t care, if she was reading it Lydia didn’t mind waiting. She closed the book again and looked back up to Mia with a casual expression.
"While it’s a good book…it was not a particularly great time to live through." She added with a careless shrug, basically trying to make small talk.
Her eyes fell onto Mia again as she apologized for not coming to see her and that she had been reading books. That was one of the best gifts given when becoming immortal. The ability to read with such speed, one could finish multiple books in a day. Lydia preferred taking her time but the ability helped others study if they wished to continue schooling. Mia soon asked if she was okay. Her eyes stared into Mia’s, her expression somewhat blank though emotion could be found if she was looking for it.
"I have had better days…" she replied while looking back down to all the books. "I am getting closer to the part of my pregnancy where I will soon be completely bed ridden and I can already feel my body deteriorating." She whispered. "I thought I would come see you before that happened." She smiled.
"It is an amazing book. I actually just finished it a few hours ago..but I don't think I could chose a favorite right now. Not until I know I have read enough to have an opinion. " She shrugged pulling the books into piles and placing them on the floor so that Lydia had more room to sit if she pleased. Her ruby eyes were left staring at the patterned blanket that they were sitting on, as Lydia spoke about the time she had spent living through the settings of the book.
Mia just laughed a bit, "Thats so strange to me, even still. That you were alive so long ago...its baffling. I thought the concept would get easier to grasp as I became more and more controlled but it just hasn't yet. So maybe it will after I've lived for a few centuries...but for now you'll have to excuse my confusion." She shook her head, running her pale hand through the bright golden locks that fell lightly over her shoulders.
The reaction that came after her question made Mia's expression fall a little bit. Lydia was the most important person to her in her family and to see her so weakened and upset...it was hard. She reached out, rubbing her hand a little bit. The baby..the baby was causing it all. Of course. The blonde sighed moving across her bed to wrap her arm around Lydia's back and hold her close. "I'll be in your room everyday when that happens, until you kick me out of course. I know how much you want this...so I'm going to help you as much as I can...anything you need I mean it...I don't want to see you hurting." Her eyes locked on her hand, playing with her fingers for a moment before looking back up at Lydia.
It was killing her to know how much this child was hurting her mother. On the other hand she also knew that her mother desperately wanted the child of her own blood. "Is this going to kill you Lydia? You're fading away..you said it yourself that youre deteriorating...I can't lose you."
"Mia…?" Lydia whispered as she traveled down the hall towards the woman’s room.
It had been days since Lydia had been out of bed, she knew if Louis caught her he wouldn’t be happy seeing her up walking around. He wanted her resting, laying around and letting others wait on her hand and food. It wasn’t something she wanted though. She didn’t like giving up her independence. She would keep fighting for her right to travel around the house or even outside until she became completely bed ridden. If she felt like being up she wasn’t going to let anyone tell her she couldn’t.
As she made her way to the other end of the house where Mia and Emily’s rooms were she smiled to herself seeing the bedroom door open and Mia sitting in her room on her bed. She was beautiful, the way the light made her hair shine and her red eyes glow. Lydia leaned against the door frame, crossing her arms and pulling her house coat closed in front.
"Hey…" She greeted softly while over looking Mia. "I have not seen you in a few days…I thought I should come check on you."
With that Lydia stepped forward and walked across the hard wood floor to Mia’s bed. Slowly she sat down on the edge of the bed and crossed one leg over the other.
Mia heard her leader say her name as she approached the room. The blonde had been busy reading books upon books upon books. Her puppy also enjoyed listening to her talk to him, even though half the time he chewed on the corner of the pages until Mia pulled him off. Even so, she hadn't seen Lydia around the castle. She worried that something was wrong, but again, she didn't want to pry so soon.
"Hi.." She replied her eyes moving away from the endless text to her mother. Beastly jumped off the bed running over to greet Lydia before Mia whistled calling him back to the bed. His training was still needed a little more work, but for the most part he was understanding.
Mia nodded as she sat on the bed shaking her head a bit. "Yeah Im sorry about that I've found myself lost in the endless worlds written in these. Are you...are you alright? You seem tired and I haven't seen you out and about lately." She looked over the older vampiress, not seeing any physical changes for sure.

"Emily, Mia…can you come here? I have something I need to tell you."
"Is everything alright?"
"Mia, Emily, would you like your Christmas present early?"
"Is it childish if I say yes?"
Mia walked in the living room, a camera in her hands, and the puppy in the other. "Hello Lydia." She smiled before sitting on the couch next to her. "I was thinking we could take some coven portraits today, make them Christmas-y so we have one this year."
Lydia looked up from her book as Mia came in requesting her attention. First her red eyes went to Mia’s, then to the puppy and lastly to the camera before listening to her words. She made room for Mia to sit with her and crossed her leg over the other, giving the young blonde vampire her complete attention.
"Portrait?" she tilted her head, questioning the younger woman’s suggestion.
Lydia couldn’t remember the last time she had a portrait, not for a long, long time. She remembered sitting with her mother and father when she was younger, having a man paint them for hours, same later on in life. Now with the technology of cameras it wasn’t all that special to have pictures made. But there were only two current pictures of Lydia floating around, neither of her as a vampire.
"I don’t see why not…" She answered, still somewhat surprised at the idea, but very much liked it.
Her red eyes then narrowed to the camera, somewhat curious. Technology was not her strong point therefor she was unaware of what needed to be done with the small box in the young woman’s hands.
"Will this be an expensive project or take a long period of time to do?" She whispered while nodding to the camera.
Mia smiled at the woman and nodded at her question, "We need one. Something to document the little life we've made." She said slipping the camera off her neck. She clicked the power button and turned it so that her mother could see, "Look, I could take a picture of whatever I want. It'll show up on this screen before I have to send it onto the computer."
The blonde chuckled at the older womans last statement. "After we take some, I can have them printed within the hour of sending them in. It won't cost much....$10 for maybe 150 pictures? A big one like for the wall would be like $5 at most."
Pumpkin Patch
With Halloween being tomorrow night it was clear that Lydia was not not prepared for the holiday, not like she was last year. The year before they had a rather decent sized party with plenty of decorations…this year it was just going to be a few pumpkins and jack’o lanterns and handing out candy on the porch if that much.
So much had been going on though. Having to move from Germany to Finland, remodeling the house, the emotional stress that came with that plus what happened with Mia and Emily’s boyfriend causing problems for Lydia. There was just so much stress, she wondered if Christmas would be this bad.
Right now she was sitting on the couch tying her boots, preparing for her and Mia’s evening out. She was taking her to the pumpkin patch to pick out a few pumpkins to sit outside and to carve up for a little last minute decoration.
"Mia, hurry up!" She called out, wanting to get there and get home as soon as possible.
The sun had just set, so they were good to go out into the night without burning to death. As Lydia waited for Mia to come down stairs she pulled a thick red sweater on over her tank-top and then pulled her coat on to ready herself to go out into the cold evening.
The young blonde had ignored her incident as much as she could. It wasn't something she wanted to think about or speak about with anyone at anytime. However, there were the occasional episodes of flashbacks that send her into a frenzy of panic. Luckily enough, tonight was not one of those horrible nights. Little beastly was just beginning training. Needless to say he was a bit out of hand. Upon hearing Lydias voice she shook her head and called back. "Sorry Lydia! I'll just be another minute." Turning back to her pup who had decided that the best place to sleep was on her outfit for the night Mia sighed. If she woke him, he'd cause more trouble and delay her even longer than she had perviously thought. The girl slipped the little pug into a sweater before she began dressing herself. He was too young to be left alone.
Dressing up in a cute sweater and black jeans, Mia made her way downstairs, puppy in hand. "I hope you don't mind him coming along. I think he's still too little to be left here all alone. He'll probably sleep most of the time he's in my arms though so don't worry." She babbled her smile wide. In the back of her mind she knew that Lydia really wouldn't care. She was the one who had gotten her the baby after all.
"You know, I've never gone out to a pumpkin patch before."
"Are we doing anything for Halloween? It’s on Friday."

"I haven't talked to Lydia about it, but I would assume we could?"
"Mia?" Louis called out softly, though the wood of the bedroom door. He didn’t want to intrude on her, but he did need to talk to her. "I was wondering if we could talk? I’m getting your room together, and I wasn’t sure what you would want in there. So I thought I’d ask."
The blonde was stumbled over to the door, not caring to cover up the burns on her arms from the week before. That hadn't worked so she moved on to the pills to try to get away from he one thing tormenting her the most. Herself. Taking the door in hand she swung it open looking out at louis. It was clear that something was wrong with her, simply from her appearance. "Talk away Louis." Her eyes were half shut and her mouth formed into a goofy smile.
——-“So….are we just going to keep kicking Emily out? Can we like, decide what to do with her? Because she literally just got back. And I’m extremely confused.”
"I don't even know what happened, I just know shes gone!"
"Emily left again…she’s so selfish and only thinks of herself…but we don’t need her. We have each other…and Louis." She added with a shrug.
"She...she left?" Her voice was soft. It was different for Mia than it was for Lydia..Emily was almost like a sister. She'd been disappearing for weeks at a time and now she was gone. "Did something happen?"

"Why can’t we just be a normal family for one day? So much happens and I hate that I end up breaking everyone up…"
"I know but you do it with your best intentions for everyone...We will be normal..."
