Okay, so for people who don't know, México isn't just "Cancún" and "Teotihuacán", this is México too. This looks like a war zone? Well it (kind of) became one. As you may know there's a shitty president at the moment, and the governament is working on some laws that will send the whole working class to hell, one of these reforms is about education, as far as my knowledge goes, (i apologize if i'm wrong.) it means no english or art classes, classes for like 12 hours a day plus homework, eating at school (and yea, it would be the shittiest food available), i'm not sure if they may also make ALL schools (from kindergarden to 9th grade/middle school) private, plus everything is getting more expensive and they would get paid the same as now or even less, (just so you have a reference, i think my mom gets paid like $150 dollars each two weeks and she works at school AND at home) they want to fire a lot of teachers, they want them to work even longer before they can retire, teachers are asking for their rights (and also: pacific protests don't mean shit here, so you gotta block streets or stuff like that so they can even pay atention to you) and the governament is like "obey or die, it's your choice" teachers are fighting, since that's the only chance they have to get a better life for them and their families, in the middle & south of Mexico they have been fighting for months already, but it hadn't gotten THIS violent, the governament (who obviously almost controls the media, too) says "it's not true, police isn't shooting at them" and there are cops who have been recorded shooting, not to mention stealing stuff (to blame civilians, of course*) and even some of them dressed as civilians to get among them hunt/kill easier, México is going to hell... So yea, police doesn't fight against crime/criminals, they fight against teachers & civilians. Pictures from Nochixtlán, Oaxaca 🇲🇽 Please keep us/them in your thoughts/prayers.
