MGTOW was the funniest development in the manosphere to date imo because the whole concept was just leaving women alone, but they couldn't do that

Almost every ethnic group in Donbass is as native as the other. The vast majority of Donbass was not permanently populated until after the colonisation of the United States of America began. The first town in Donbass was founded in the mid 1600s by Don Cossacks. Ukrainians are not the native people of the Donbass whose ancestral land needs to be returned to them. They’re the descendants of 17th century migrants, like the rest of us, who set up shop after the Crimean Khanate was kicked out to do some mining.
Some parts of Donbass was very sparsely inhabited by nomadic Tatar spill over from Crimea and other allied Khanates before the Crimean Khanate lost control over the region. There are Tatars living in Donbass in the modern day, I know this because the Muslim martyr’s cemetery in Donetsk is full of the graves of Tatars who died fighting Ukraine, and because the Donetsk Mosque Ukraine shelled during Eid Al Fitr celebrations, damaging it so much it cannot be used to this day, was a Tatar Mosque whom Tatars were so dominant within that it used the Tatar words for all Islamic celebrations, and hung the Tatar flag inside. But whatever yeah #Landback to Ukraine
people who aren’t from donbass can’t seem to comprehend that in donbass belonging to donbass isn’t defined by having the blood that belongs to donbass or whatever it’s defined by living in donbass and contributing to the furthering of our homeland by your labour, blood, sweat and/or tears. there is a reason the poem says «creator-people» and not «everything is built by the native ethnic ukrainians who were definitely here first yeah trust me bro yes the source i got is from may be widely considered «antisemitic ukrainian nationalist propaganda» but it’s true bro the russians and the tatars and the jews are trying to replace the true indigenous people of donbass, ukrainians.»
«No one has brought Donbass to its knees // And no one ever shall! // There is no land more beautiful, more inspired // Where everything is built by the creator-people.»
genuinely if it becomes a film making trend to adapt 4chan/reddit posts into movies i think we should ban the moving image

the extended atla franchise is really proof for why an IP-based approach to art does not work because while it is true that michael dante dimartino and bryan konietzko Created atla, it should be clear from the quality of the rest of the installments in the franchise with their name/stamp of approval on it that they were not the deciding factor in the quality of the original show. in fact, many if not Most of the series best episodes were written by head writer aaron ehasz and his then-wife elizabeth welch. neither of theses two have the Right to make more avatar even though they're a big part of what Made It in the first place.
ehasz then went out to put out 'the dragon prince' for netflix which was not a show i was crazy about but i think i feel pretty confident in calling it better than legend of korra.
now what's also notable about this situation is that ehazs is a notorious enough misogynist to have a section of his wikipedia page devoted to his alleged professional mistreatment of women
elizabeth on the other hand has absolutely no presence online whatsoever. ATLA is her only writing credit. She wrote eight episodes of the show including Zuko Alone, The Avatar and the Fire Lord, and The Southern Raiders. She and aaron are now also divorced.
Now, if you know anything about how misogynist male creatives working in the same field as their wives operate, then you can probably reach the same conclusion I have. If a man is willing to treat female coworkers like his nanny and assistant as a baseline, imagine what he feels entitled to expect from a female coworker that is also his wife. I would not be surprised if much of the work on ATLA that ehasz was able to build his career off of would not have been nearly as good without a lot of behind the scenes assistance from elizabeth.
so of the 4 people mentioned here, the one with the absolute least claim of any entitlement to the Intellectual Property of the avatar franchise is overwhelmingly likely to be the most responsible for the meaningful character and narrative writing that caused ATLA to even earn enough accolades to be worth franchising in the first place.

I once ate meat from a pig that was only fed wine corks during its life. I became nauseated and tired and fell asleep in my leather armchair. I dreamt of cool breezes over vineyards on the Mediterranean Sea, until I woke up in a cold sweat and a longing for Italy. It’s not right to feed a pig too much of something, it gives them a connection which is best left alone.
