Update regarding the state of this blog

So, its's been a while. I'm alive, and I'm still very much active, just not Here lately.

The TLDR is that I'm moving to @miccheckstims where I'll be pickier about when I open requests and more liberal about the type of content I post. THIS BLOG WILL NOT BE DEACTIVATED do not panic about that.

My incoherent ramblings about why are under the cut if you're interested.

Stimboards and the associated content I used to post on this blog in tidal waves hasn't been as appealing to me lately, and I think there's a lot of equally strong reasons for that. The worst offender probably being the state of stimblr as a whole, which seems to exist as an ouroboros-like mass of recycled stims from dead blogs and pinterest reuploads, overshadowing the new and creditable content so badly that it's borderline impossible to keep a decent blog running without exclusively using your own gifs. It's not like it's completely hopeless out here, but the barrier to entry and the price of upkeep as gotten so high that keeping up the request-based format of the hobby has become more taxing than it's worth. And because of the way this has already affected the blog, I've found it difficult to even try to return, what with the piles of neglected requests gathering dust in the inbox.

I still like stimboards. I still like making all the edits I used to regularly post here, and this isn't an announcement of retirement or anything. This is moreso an admittance that I've bitten off more than I can chew by making my hobby into a transactional thing.

So, in light of recent events in my personal life, I'm going to be starting over.

I've recently moved accounts entirely, making it silly for me to come back to this specific blog ever time I want to post--which is why I'm relocating my stimblr as well.

@miccheckstims is going to be my general blog for all the content I had previously been posting between @mic-check-stims, @stims-and-resources-ig, and @mic-check-flags.

I think setting this up in a better-set-up blog and being less worried about convenience of transaction will help a lot. I missed stimblr and I honestly cannot stress enough how grateful I've been for the people who interact with me here--the fact that 700 people like my content is insane to me. I hope to see a lot of you in the next blog too.
