iTunes Pre-Release Albums
Pre-release albums ruin my iTunes organization.
EXAMPLE: I have smart playlists that are based on rating and date added. Let’s say I add the new Gorillaz album to my library. If I rate these two available songs as four+ stars, the tracks will be in the “this month, 4+” smart playlist. Now what happens when the rest of this album gets released? I will rate the new songs (newly added to my library but technically already added with the pre-release singles) 4 stars but it will not be in any of my recently added smart playlists groups with the other singles. This means that when I throw on the hot tracks from the last few months, the new tracks will not be played in the same playlists as the singles.
ALSO the album will no longer be in the Recently Added albums section anymore.
I am an angry music nerd. Just release singles as separate items please.
