Rapha Mondial - Pro Team Shadow
A new moving-image and stills combined commission made to showcase the new Rapha Pro Team Shadow collection; a highly breathable, wet-weather protection, race-fit lightweight layer. The brief was to create a 30 second moving-image piece and an accompanying set of still images that made a cohesive set for use both online and in print in Rapha's beautiful magazine 'Mondial'.
The imagery needed to communicate the technical performance qualities of the material in a variety of weather situations (as it is not strictly just for use in wet weather) as well as the precision fit and comfort that the material offers.
With thanks to everyone who was involved for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm to the task.

FT Weekend Magazine - The Model Room
One of my favourites from last weekend’s story on the newly refurbished Model Room at the Soane Museum. It’s a must see.
FT Weekend Magazine - Spring Food Special
An alternative take (and my personal favourite) to the recently published FT Weekend cover I shot. Set design by Sarah Parker.
Esquire - Tomorrow’s trends today
A few highlights from my recent Men’s Fashion shoot for Esquire. Set Design by Zena May Hendrick.
Beyond By Lexus - The Bike
I recently had the pleasure of shooting this beaut of a concept bike by Lexus for their rather nice magazine titled Beyond. (Produced and designed by Winkreative) If you are interested in design and craftsmanship it’s certainly worth a look.
COS x Serpentine Galleries - Park Nights
At the end of last summer I had the pleasure of heading out into the real world with my camera to shoot an image fitting of a limited edition print to be included in a beautifully designed invite for the Park Nights event.
Silent But Violent - Michael Bodiam & Anna Burns
After 3 years of sporadic work, our project featuring hobby craft versions of the iconic Mushroom Cloud, Silent But Violent has been released.
We've had some really nice features on It's Nice That, Huffington Post and Design Boom all of which have different interviews and written content so are worth checking out individually.
With huge thanks to everyone involved, particularly my hard working assistants and Karl at Karmer for the mega structure that helped realise the balloons image.
Bally Stripe Collection SS '14
A new moving image piece I was commissioned to make to show the all new Bally Stripe collection. As with the previous three films I have shot for Bally there was an open brief as a starting point. Playing on the theme of the Bally Stripe logo the piece explores the new SS '14 collection.
With thanks to everyone who was involved for their hard work and enthusiasm.
FT Weekend Magazine - How We Began
An outtake from the story featured in the weekends excellent FT Weekend Magazine. Make sure you read the excellent article here and of course go and see the exhibition at the Natural History Museum.
Thanks to Nicola at the Natural History Museum for accommodating us!
Wallpaper* - Design Awards Issue
I recently shot a couple of categories for Wallpaper's current Design awards issue. These two images are for the categories 'Best Transparency' and 'Best Line Work'. In shops now.
NOWNESS - The Tools We Use
I am delighted to announce that my latest project The Tools We Use has launched on Nowness today. Watch this space for the impending launch of the dedicated The Tools We Use Tumblr site - coming soon!
La Ciudad De Noche:
A couple of years ago I had the pleasure of working with Director Johnny Green on a film that he was directing for Hennessy through Droga 5. Shot over the course of a month in Mexico City, here are some of my favourite images.
With thanks to Adrian for taking me to all the best places in town to shoot and to eat Tacos.
Ruins:
This image, shot with @sarahparkermade is a testimony to the notion that everything has already been done. Several months of on-off research into an idea, Sarah & I get to the shoot day armed with tons of obscure imagery, (historical in context as opposed to art based) full of anticipation of what we might create. Approaching midday and it’s looking great. Ten past midday and we find an image that leaves us speechless. It is an execution of our idea as we see it before we have even taken a picture. Even though we know that we will put our own spin on the image it is so similar that we know that if we were to go ahead and shoot it people would only ever say ‘they remind me of those pictures by…’
So what are we left with? Minimalism essentially. It may yet be the birth of a new series, time will tell. Now get this; the project title before the horrible realisation? Ruins. How very apt.
Wallpaper* & Lexus - The Art of Driving
A little BTS video of a shoot I did for Wallpaper* featuring the Lexus IS 300h and IS 300h Sport. Sets beautifully designed by artist Bahar Yurukoglu and architect Cristina Parreno.
Wallpaper* - Polish design
Another image from my recent trip to Warsaw shooting Polish design for Wallpaper* Bespoke.
Bally SS'14 - FlexTech
The final install of the three moving image pieces I was commissioned to direct for Bally's SS'14 collection.
